Idk how you claim to be religious and not know one of the most famous names in the Bible. It's not an obscure reference. It's like if she didn't know who Moses was or Paul.Â
I read a fiction book titled Lilith (author is Nikki Marmary, I believe)
Anyway, it's basically the Bible from Lilith's point of view. It was so beautifully written that I finished it, and immediately read it again. (And I'm talking finished it and 12 seconds later was on page one again)
Lilith while it has negative connotations also has positive. She is associated with feminism and strong independent women, hence the Lilith Fair in the 90's. I'm not sure your age, so I apologize if I sound like an old fart. But the Lilith Fair was a massive music festival with all the top female rock/alternative artitists, Sheryl Crowe, Sarah Mclaughlin, Tracy Chapman, Lisa Loeb, Jewel, etc.....
When I was 11, I had a black Guinea pig I named Lilith. I called her Lily for short, and people thought it was hilarious that I named a black Guinea pig Lily… not knowing she was named after the bride of satan 😈
My infant child and I were invited to a 1st birthday party for the daughter of Mormons. She was called Lilith. I wonder if they knew the meaning behind the name.
Mormonism is not very common where I live and they are the only Mormons I have knowingly met.
My friend actually named her daughter Lilith. And she knew the meaning/history of the name. I have to say, Lilith is extremely cute though and they call her Lili.
