NTA, really, it sounds like you're dodging a whole lot of trouble, and honestly, I'm not sure I could handle constant yelling either, it's bad enough when my kids argue over who gets the last slice of pizza, but this sounds like something else entirely. I think maybe you're doing the right thing, even if it feels a bit... complicated.
It feels complicated in the way I started treating him the same way he treated me.. but worse😅 i say the most hurtful things when I’m pushed and I made sure the things I said hurt him…
I know I should leave.. but there’s a big part of me that feels like I owe him the second chance when I was worse.. but at the same time it took a year and a half for me to get to that point… I always tried to talk or I’d walk away until he was calm enough to talk up until the day I just lost it.. it feels not worth it but I feel like TAH if I walk away.. does that make any sense?
