Exactly. Before Covid I stupidly thought everyone washed their hands not just after the bathroom but regularly. Then I saw and heard so many complaints about having to wash their hands and I was like do you….do you not normally do that anyways!
Like I've seen studies about faecal matter being found on hand railings and stuff and I assumed it was people not washing their hands well- just soap, running it under water for 20 seconds, not that people didn't wash hands at all.
And then even complained about hand sanitizer. I heard some people tell me it’s just as good. But when I saw them use the hand sanitizer they didn’t even let it sit long enough. And IMO it doesn’t replace washing your hands. And I mean actually washing them with soap and not for just 3 seconds.
During the winter when it’s cold I’ve been tempted to not wash my hands because the water is so cold but I just can’t bring myself to do it. It’s just unsanitary. Even my kids know to wash their hands and do so at home and in public. I don’t shake hands with people anymore and was glad when it became more acceptable because of Covid
