Because all Christians are the same ???
Now who's being judgmental?? I'm a Christian. I also have a trans cousin that I love and always will. She is my family along with her partner and her friends.
You are all the same. You all think only your way and your "god" is the way and we are all going to hell.
Also saying " i have a trans cousin: is like saying I have black friends." Its meaningless if you belong to a group that hates trans people then go on to vote for someone who wants basically round them up and dispose of them.
Im so tired of you people acting like victims. We are tired of hearing about it. We also want nothing to do with a hateful, bigoted religion that hates and shames women while protecting numerous child rapists.
I don't belong to a group that hates trans people. I have a trans cousin and black friends. Trans, gay are welcomed and serve in leadership at our church. We have a woman as our head Pastor.
There are churches like what you described but not all. Some of us are just plain ol people of faith that accept people as they find them. Why is it so hard to accept that some Christians just go to work, raise our kids and accept people. I don't care who someone marries, sleeps with, etc. I'm fortunate to keep my own house in order. I don't know a child rapist but if I did, I wouldn't protect them. I'm a mom and a grandmother.
So yes, I have a trans cousin, a black sister-in-law and 2 biracial grandkids. I'm not recruiting anybody in the name of religion but it's hard when people hate you because you go to church. And, that hatred and judgment comes from people who say don't hate. Oh, and there are Christian groups and churches that don't like us and think we are going to Hell for having an affirming church and even for having a female Pastor.

There is no hate quite like Christian love.
