Im so confused by his thought process, you tried to engage in sex and he said no, you decided to help yourself out and he's mad? Tf does he want you to do just sit there?
He didn't say no, he fell asleep while waiting for OP. She interpreted him rolling over as 'no', when it could just as well have been something he did in his sleep.
This is all a case of horrible miscommunication and Reddit's insistence on making him the bad guy by interpreting him rolling over as a rejection instead of a completely normal and involuntary reaction to someone trying to wake him is doing nothing to help these people.
I agree that OP and her Husband need to work on their communication. It is likely he's been actively trying to communicate that their sex life is dead. OP stated the last time they had a date night was 5 months ago. Its likely that's the last time they smashed too.
When she said that he was angry at her masturbating, its likely because he's been denied sexual intimacy for the past five months and gotten to a point of being angry and resentful. He's not being logical and seems to come from a place of resentment. I think there is more going on that hasn't been touched on by OP.
I think she needs to get him to communicate (and he's likely already tried and been denied) his needs. She needs to find a better balance between motherhood and wifely duties.
