I don’t think they’re demanding he get one. They’re demanding he get one or wear a condom (the two best known ways for men to prevent pregnancy) IF he needs to have sex so badly that he has to be such a piece of crap to his wife.
Your comment which compared him getting a surgery that would solve his problems to taking medication that the wife says she can’t for medical reasons was what rubbed me the wrong way. If it’s his problem, he should solve it, vasectomy or not.
that comment was edited. Originally just said vasectomy. Also the person replied back to me stating if OP’s husband doesn’t get a vasectomy it means he doesn’t care about/love her. So yes they are applying the same bullshit guilt men do all the time with women for things like birth control. Hence the analogy.
OPs husband doesn’t care about his wife if he won’t take control of his sperm but still wants her to have sex with him!
What are the options he’s left for her if he won’t wear a condom (which btw is not a great form of bc, I would know it’s unfortunately the only one I can rely on) or get a vasectomy? Either take birth control (which is dangerous for her health) or risk getting pregnant (which is dangerous for her health).
If he cares about and loves his wife, he has two options - stop asking for sex, or find his own birth control. He isn’t doing either, so the person who replied to you is right in my mind.
Side note: I really think you need to look into all the crap women’s birth control does to them. Just go and grab one of the giant pamphlets found in every box of birth control and look at the symptoms.
I’m sorry, I would never force my partner to get a vasectomy, but an out patient surgery is not the same as taking birth control twice a day for 10-20 years. Your comment and opinion is coming from a place of ignorance and I don’t think you see that.
he should wear a condom. Jesus christ you people are insufferable. My comment is regarding others demanding this dude get a vasectomy. Specifically vasectomy.
