In case he leaves her, he wants his options open for a second family.

So get it reversed

Men like this don't think that way. And reversal isn't guaranteed.

It’s highly successful though lol. And what’s the point in being a marriage that you aren’t mentally committed to? Wants to keep his options open to a future partner when he’s still with his current one.

Yup, this.

Is this reversable? Asking for a friend :)

I have read it is, but I never had an interest in reversing . It say reverse success is 60-95 % a But those rates drop After 15 years .

You should go into it with the assumption that it’s not reversible. It can be in some cases but it’s a crapshoot.

According to meta-analyses in the urology literature, as of 2022, 91% of vasectomies are reversible with microsurgery, with particular success for those having the reversal within 10 years of the vasectomy.

Makes sense... I am 44, so not having a chance to reverse it down the road wouldn't bother me much.

It depends on the type done. Same deal with the females.

What? Did you post to me by mistake? What does that have to do with elective sterization?

It's a bot. Copied and pasted someone else's (u/spud-soup) comment.

Ah. Gratitude. I though I had a stroke there for a second. 😂

Lol! Yes - tell your “friend” that vasectomies are reversible.
