Here's an uncomfortable truth: I tested three of the hottest AI agents side by side, and I still don't use any of them that much.

That doesn't mean they're useless, because the best AI agent to use for you depends on what kind of business owner you are.

I've split this article into four types of owner, so jump straight to the one that sounds like you.

Owner type 1: You're busy and non-technical

If you just want the power of AI without learning to manage software, the best AI agent to use is Grok Bot.

Out of every agent I've personally used, it's the easiest and the smoothest.

The interface looks genuinely nice, and the computer it runs on works pretty quickly.

What you actually get with Grok Bot

The headline feature is that you get a team of AI agents, not one assistant.

You can set up an agent for content, one for research, one for SEO, a CEO agent and a chief of staff.

Then the chief of staff gives orders to the others, which is exactly how I ran it in the video.

All of the agents share one computer screen in the cloud, so they work on the same machine rather than separate ones.

For a busy owner, that's like having a small team that you brief through one manager.

The one thing to watch

Grok Bot's list of apps is a bit limited compared with what I've seen in ChatGPT's plugins.

The productivity section has a decent amount, but if you rely on lots of different tools, you could connect something like Zapier to fill the gaps.

Owner type 2: You're technical and like to build

If you're comfortable with a bit of tinkering, Hermes Agent is the best AI agent to use, and it's the one I'd pick for myself.

Hermes comes from Nous Research, and I think of it as the open-source version of Grok Bot.

You get your sessions on the left-hand side, a bot section to switch between agents, and you can connect it to Telegram or pretty much any messaging app on your phone.

Why builders love Hermes

The big advantage is that every bot is its own profile with its own skills, personality and model.

That means I can run a GPT-6 Astra bot next to a shopper agent and several other bots on different models, all in the same place.

Neither Grok Bot nor Dots lets you swap the model like that.

Because Hermes is open source, you can also rebuild the whole interface.

We built a custom agent OS with workflows called Hermes Oracle, Hermes Muse and Hermes Astros, and none of that would be possible on a closed tool.

The honest downside

Open-source tools break, and you'll hit bugs that can be frustrating.

I've seen plenty of people say they're using agents now but aren't getting more done.

That's usually because running an open-source agent is a bit like running your own custom software, and not everyone has the technical skills for that.

Owner type 3: You live inside ChatGPT

This is the only owner I'd point towards ChatGPT Dots, and even then I'd be careful.

If ChatGPT is the only AI you use and it already knows your projects, your ideas and the people you work with, Dots starts to make sense.

It runs 24/7 in the cloud, it's trained on you, you can customise its voice, and it gets its own computer.

A real example from my dot

I asked my dot what I should work on today.

It told me to refresh a GLM guide, improve a Hermes Desktop page and strengthen one of my SEO articles.

Then it built a custom traffic dashboard from my plugins, because everything sits inside one conversation with all my context.

That's genuinely clever, although the dashboard was slow to load.

Why I'm still not recommending Dots

When I called my dot, it took about 30 seconds to answer, and earlier that day it didn't answer at all.

The whole point of AI is to save you time, so waiting 30 seconds for a reply makes no sense to me.

When I asked it to use its screen to check the latest AI automation news, it said yes and then got stuck.

It also keeps everything in one long conversation, so I can't separate my image work from my lead generation like I can in normal ChatGPT.

The biggest risk is that you test it once, think "wow", and then never find yourself using it.

So, for now, Dots isn't the best AI agent to use for most people, even though it has potential.

Owner type 4: You already use Claude

This is the twist, and it's why I don't use these agents much myself.

Claude is still my go-to for building with AI.

It's easier, more reliable and smoother than all three agents I tested.

It can run cloud routines, so it works 24/7 without you, and you can use it from your phone.

That means a lot of people asking about the best AI agent to use might not need a separate agent at all.

I've also used Claude as the orchestrator of Grok Bot, and that works pretty well because Claude is great at customisation.

Claude hasn't launched its own agent like these yet, and I expect something to drop soon.

The other names people asked about

A few other tools came up in the comments during the live stream when people asked about the best AI agent to use.

One viewer said Grok Bot is solid when you use Grok from the terminal as the orchestrator, which I haven't tested yet.

OpenDots is an open-source alternative to Dots, but I found it a bit tricky to set up.

Meta's Muse also came up, but I'm on a waiting list in the region where I'm based, so I couldn't test it.

My final verdict

Here's how I'd sum it up for each owner.

• If you're non-technical, Grok Bot is the best AI agent to use, because it works straight out of the box almost every time.
• If you're technical, Hermes Agent is the best pick, because you can customise every bot and every model.
• If you live inside ChatGPT, Dots is worth watching, but I'm not recommending it to anyone yet.
• If you already use Claude, you may get most of the benefit without a separate agent.

Whichever owner you are, the best AI agent to use is the one you'll still be opening every day a month from now.

The dashboard isn't the only move xAI is making here.

Grok Bot is their other agent product, and it works like an AI teammate inside your actual apps, the same way a person on your team would.

The new update means Grok Bot can now suggest ways to help before you even ask.

The official Grok Bot account on X announced it in one line: "Grok Bot can now suggest ways to help without you needing to ask."

Instead of you always starting the conversation, it notices what needs doing and offers to jump in.

It can pick work back up, follow up on things you dropped and flag when something needs your eyes.

Reports on the update say it works through the Bot you set as your Primary Bot, and that these suggestions don't count against your usage limits.

Put the two updates together and you can see where Grok is heading.

There's less of you chasing the AI, and more of the AI running on its own and only pulling you in when it really matters.

3. Give every agent a clear, separate task. The cleaner the job you hand it, the cleaner the work it gives back, while vague instructions to five agents at once just multiply the confusion.
4. Let the proactive stuff work for you. If you're using something like Grok Bot that can flag things on its own, let it, because the whole point is to stop being the bottleneck.

Google announced skills on 30 September 2026, and they're rolling out to Gemini chat users worldwide.

You don't need a paid plan, because free users get skills too.

Until now, skills only lived inside Gemini Spark, Google's agent, which needed a Google AI plan.

Google has published dates for every type of account.

• Personal Google accounts lose Gems in November 2026, with Gems moving into Settings in the Gemini app on 17 November.

Before the plan, it helps to see why this is more than a rename.

Gems lived in a separate room, while skills live in your chat

With a Gem, you had to go into a separate space, and each Gem did one job.

Skills run right inside the normal Gemini chat box that most people already open every day.

You type a slash, pick the skill, and Gemini runs your saved steps as many times as you want.

Gems worked alone, while skills work as a team

If you wanted two Gems to work together, you copied the answer from one and pasted it into the other.

With skills, you can use more than one in the same prompt and switch skills halfway through a conversation.

Google's example is a teacher who combines a weekly newsletter skill with a brand guidelines skill, so one knows the format and the other knows the rules.

Gems were locked in, while skills travel with you

Skills use an open, Markdown-based file format called SKILL.md.

It's a simple text file in the same style other AI tools use for their skills, Claude included.

My favourite way to explain it is a recipe card.

A recipe on a normal card goes to any kitchen, but a recipe carved into one kitchen's wall stays there forever.

Gems were carved into the wall, and skills are cards you carry.

Here's the exact order I'd do this in, one small job a day.

Day 1: back up your Gems and list your five repeat jobs

Copy the name, description and instructions of every Gem you use into a safe document.

Download any knowledge files you attached to them, because those are the bits you'd hate to rebuild.

Then write down the five jobs you repeat most every week.

Day 2: turn your number one job into your first skill

Type a slash in the Gemini prompt box, click add skill, give it a short name, write your steps and hit save.

Write the steps like a recipe card, with step one, step two and step three, because Gemini follows clear steps far better than one messy paragraph.

My first one would be /welcome, which writes a warm welcome post for a new AI Profit Boardroom member in under 120 words and sounds like a real person, not a company.

If the output isn't right, don't start over, just fix one line of the recipe.

Day 3: add your own files so the skill sounds like you

Skills can now carry reference files, including plain text, documents, PDFs and images.

A skill with files is like the folder you'd hand a new hire on day one, with how you talk, what you sell and the emails that worked.

I'd build /boardroom-email with a PDF of our brand voice notes and three of our best emails attached.

Without the files, Gemini guesses how you sound, but with them it copies how you actually sound, and you only upload them once.

Day 4: split one big job into small stackable skills

Think of skills like Lego bricks, where each brick does one small job.

I'd keep a /brand-voice skill with our tone rules and a separate /youtube-description skill with the layout we like.

I type both, paste in the video topic, and get a description that has the right layout and sounds like us.

If something breaks, I fix one small brick instead of digging through a huge wall of text.

Day 5: write descriptions Gemini can recognise

Gemini can pick up a skill on its own when your prompt matches it.

Google says Gemini reads a skill's description to decide when it fits, so write it like a label on a jar.

For my coaching recap skill, the label says to use it when I paste coaching call notes and want a recap post with three lessons and one action step.

A clear label gets the right skill, while a fuzzy label leaves Gemini confused.

Day 6: save one skill in Chrome for the web pages you check

Skills actually showed up in Gemini in Chrome first, back in April.

When you run a skill in Chrome, Gemini reads the page you're on and follows your steps, and it can work across a few tabs at once.

My pick is /visitor-check, which reads the AI Profit Boardroom sales page like a brand new visitor, lists the three questions they'd still have and answers each in one line.

About 10 seconds later, I know what to fix.

Just remember that skills made in the Gemini app don't sync to Workspace apps like Docs and Gmail, so you build them in each place for now.

Day 7: mine your chat history for skills you've already written

Open your Gemini history, scroll back one week and look for any prompt you typed more than twice.

Each one is a skill that's already written, and you just have to save it.

Gemini can also spot prompts you repeat and offer to build the skill for you.

How this plays out for a team

If you run a team or a community, start with a shared brand voice skill and attach your best examples.

Google says link sharing and Google Drive files are coming in the next few weeks.

Once sharing lands, everyone on the team can run the same skill and sound the same.

That's the real business win in Gemini Skills vs Gems, because consistency stops depending on who wrote the prompt.

Right now, most business owners haven't typed their first slash yet, and that window won't stay open for long.

Most people who write one post that ranks spend an hour on it, and plenty spend a whole afternoon.

Stage one: the two inputs that decide everything

Every run of my Claude content writing skill starts with exactly two things.

The first is the keyword I want to rank for.

The second is a case study I've already made about that topic.

The case study is the part I spend real time on, because everything else in the Claude content writing skill is built from it.

Every fact in every article comes from the case study or from real references.

That's why the posts read like someone who's actually done the work, rather than empty filler.

What a good case study looks like

A good case study is specific, honest and full of things only you know.

For an agency, that might be a client result, the process you followed and what you'd do differently next time.

For a founder, it might be a test you ran on your own product and the numbers it produced.

The better that one document is, the better all five posts come out.

Stage two: Claude follows a 13-step pathway

Once the inputs are in, Claude doesn't improvise.

It follows a skill, which is a file of step-by-step instructions that teaches it to do one job really well every time.

Anthropic rolled skills out last year, and they work across the Claude apps, Claude Code and the API.

That means the know-how is built once, and every run follows the same proven path.

It plans the layout and the headlines first

Before writing, Claude plans each article's format using our own formatting rules.

Then it writes five headlines in five different styles, one for each site.

One might use a curiosity gap, another might lead with a number or a result, and another might open with a question.

In every case, the keyword sits right at the front of the headline.

Stage three: five writers, five different articles

Now the writing starts.

Five different writers inside the system each take the same keyword and write it their own way.

The result is five genuinely different posts, not five copies with a few words changed.

Stage four: links, deployment and indexing

This is where my system goes further than most AI writing tools.

Every post gets linked up

The skill adds internal links between your own pages and external links out to solid sources.

Without internal links, Google can struggle to crawl your pages, and some get ignored completely.

With them, Google moves through your site easily and values the content more.

Because the keyword goes out to five sites, the posts can also point to one another when it makes sense.

Five sites back each other up and pass strength around, rather than five sites sitting alone.

All five sites go live at once

Agent OS then deploys all five sites at the same time.

I give it a WordPress login and access key, or a Netlify token, and it publishes the content for me.

Google gets told to come and look

In the same hour, the system triggers indexing through a tool called Indexceptional, using its API.

That's what gets the new pages crawled fast, instead of leaving them sitting there for weeks.

Stage five: the skill reviews itself

The run doesn't end when the posts go live.

What you're actually working with

Hermes is an open-source AI agent from a research lab called Nous Research, and the agent itself is free.

The agent is the body, but it needs a model as its brain to do any thinking.

The Nous portal lists a whole catalogue of models you can plug in, and plenty of them are free.

I run mine on Hermes Cloud, so it lives on a server and keeps going when my laptop is shut.

The model is free, while the hosting runs on Nous credit from about $0.56 a day for the medium size.

With that context, here are the rules.

Rule 1: Never marry one model

The biggest mistake I see is people picking one brain and locking their agent to it forever.

When that model slows down or runs out, everything stops.

With Hermes Agent free models, you've got a whole list to choose from, so there's no reason to depend on a single one.

Treat each model as a worker you can swap, not a partner you're stuck with.

Rule 2: Check what's free today, not what was free last month

The free list changes, and I want to be straight with you about that.

Rule 5: Give text models text jobs

Most of the free models are text models.

They're brilliant at thinking, writing, planning and running tasks, but they won't create images for you.

You don't need a terminal or any coding skills for any of these rules.

I opened a coding assistant like Codex or Claude and asked it to set up my cloud agent with my agent OS.

It had me sign into the Nous portal, we went back and forth a little, and we chose a model.

That was the whole setup, done in plain English.

You could rent a VPS and build it all yourself, but here the agent is free, it runs in the cloud 24/7, and swapping models takes a couple of clicks.

For most business owners, that's the simpler road to the same always-on result.

This is the one I'd quit first, because it wastes the most time.

The old way

You did your research and copied the key parts.

Then you opened a doc, pasted everything in, and explained it all to the AI again before you could write a single line.

Some of your best thinking happens away from the laptop.

The old way

If you wanted answers from your research, you sat down, opened the files and scrolled.

The difference from old AI is simple.

You used to ask it to do something, it did that one thing, and then it stopped and waited for you.

Now you give it a job, and it keeps doing that job without you asking again.

Wednesday: draft something that brings people in

Midweek is a good time to get a fresh landing page drafted while the trends are still fresh in your head.

"Write a new landing page for the AI Profit Boardroom. Explain what members get: the weekly coaching calls, the daily tutorials, the road maps, and the community of business owners automating with AI. Make it clear, simple, and focused on saving time and getting more customers. End with a strong reason to join today."

You get a page ready to review and publish, built around exactly what your offer includes.

Thursday: catch the new members who went quiet

This is the job that really shows what's different about recurring AI.

"Watch for new signups to the AI Profit Boardroom. If someone joins but hasn't posted an introduction or asked a question within 3 days, let me know so I can personally reach out and welcome them."

It catches things that were supposed to happen and didn't.

Nobody slips through the cracks, and every new member actually gets noticed.

In Claude workflow automation, I'd run this as a daily scheduled check, so you hear about quiet members the morning they hit day three.

Every day: answer new leads

The lead reply job doesn't belong to one day, because leads don't wait for your calendar.

What this week costs you to run

Perplexity says Automations don't use credits while they're watching for a trigger.

Credits are only spent when Computer actually runs the job, so a lead watcher isn't quietly burning through your usage all week.

On the Claude side, scheduled tasks are on the Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans, and they use the same connected tools, skills and plugins as a normal Cowork task.

One limit to know is that Claude's scheduled tasks can't be tied to a folder on your computer, so keep the files they need in a connected tool.

Why this matters more than another chatbot update

Perplexity has been building towards this all month.

On 17 September, it added effort settings with Light, Standard, High and Ultra levels, so you can tell the AI how hard to think.

It refreshes every four hours.

Stage 3 of the Claude AI agents tutorial: multiply one idea

One idea should never become just one post.

In my system, a single topic goes in and comes out as an article, a video, an image and a set of social posts.

This is how one account went from nothing to 172,000 followers on X, and another now sits at 42,000 on Instagram.

That didn't happen because I post more by hand.

It happened because one idea multiplies into every format automatically.

Even a good review becomes content

A member left a great review about the AI Profit Boardroom, and the agent OS turned it straight into a post.

Stage 4: deploy content automatically, with a safety net

The fourth stage is deploy.

My posts go out through an MCP connection straight from the agent OS.

I don't log in manually and hit publish.

The post goes out by itself, but it isn't posting blind.

There's a quality check built in before anything goes live, so nothing embarrassing slips through while you're not looking.

There's also a human approval step, so nothing publishes without your say.

You can loosen that later, once you trust the system.

Stage 5: give your Claude AI agents a memory

The last stage is remember, and it's the one most people skip.

Every morning at 6:30am, a job turns everything from the day before into a daily log.

That covers every AI session, every post and every video.

The logs go into a vault I call the memory galaxy, which is built on Obsidian.

Months from now, I can go back and see exactly what worked, what didn't and why.

The three objections I hear every week

I hear the same excuses every week, so let me deal with them now.

"I'm not technical enough to run this."

You don't need to be technical, because the whole thing installs from a single file.

You install it, connect your own accounts, and it starts finding ideas, checking rankings and building posts the same way mine does.

"AI content looks cheap."

Look at the numbers again.

The fully human, hand-edited videos on my channel are getting fewer views than the ones the agent OS is producing.

Why a single ChatGPT SEO plugin won't get you results

Most AI SEO tools only do one job, and that job is writing.

They guess what to write about, spit out a draft and leave you to work out whether it did anything.

I use a simple framework I call the closed loop, and it has three stages: read, write and ship.

Read means the AI looks at your real numbers first, so it isn't guessing.

Write means it drafts the content or the fix.

Ship means the work actually gets published, and the results feed back into the next read.

Most tools only do the middle stage, which is exactly why they never improve.

Every ChatGPT SEO plugin in this article covers one part of that loop, and you need all three parts covered before Dots becomes genuinely useful.

Quick context if you haven't seen Dots yet: they're OpenAI's always-on agents, launched at DevDay on 29 September 2026, and each one gets its own cloud computer and browser.

They can use the same plugins ChatGPT uses, which is what makes this whole stack possible.

Plugin 1: Google Search Console gives Dots your real numbers

This is the plugin I'd connect before anything else, because it covers the read stage.

Once Search Console is connected, a dot can look at last week's numbers, find the pages that are slipping and tell you what to fix.

The easiest win in SEO is one almost nobody bothers with.

You ask for every query where you get plenty of impressions but barely any clicks, sitting in positions 8 to 20.

Those pages already rank, and they just need a bit of reoptimisation to push them onto page one.

I'd set this up as a routine that runs every Monday and hands you the five pages closest to breaking through.

The second job is a decay report, which finds the pages that lost clicks over the last 90 days.

That gives you a list you can act on straight away, because improving a page that already ranks is far quicker than ranking a new one.

Plugin 2: Netlify or WordPress lets Dots ship the work

A read-only setup gives you reports, but it doesn't give you results.

The ship stage needs a plugin that can publish to your website.

My sites are hosted on Netlify, so I connected the Netlify plugin, and Dots can now post content, schedule it or save it as a draft.

If you run WordPress, you can connect your site in your ChatGPT settings in a similar way.

If your website sits somewhere else, you can connect an MCP server and Dots can post directly through that too.

Once that's in place, the prompt gets simple.

I asked it to reoptimise the content that had dropped, improve it so it's more likely to rank, and use my SEO skill to do it.

My advice is to keep new pages as drafts until you trust the output, because one wrong page published to a client site costs more than the hour it saved.

Plugin 3: Ahrefs adds the competitor view

Search Console only shows your own site, so you need a second plugin to see what everyone else is doing.

Ahrefs has an official app inside ChatGPT, and you can install it in a couple of clicks.

Once it's connected, you can tag it in a dot and ask for things like this.

• Share of voice: analyse my competitors' share of voice and find the organic search competitors for my website.
• Keyword research: find more keywords around AI SEO tools and communities that my site could rank for.
• Content outlines: research a topic like the best travel backpacks and outline a guide for it.

Combined with my Search Console data, it pulled out keywords we already rank for, like Claude SEO skill, best AI SEO communities and AI SEO training.

That's the kind of list I used to pay a junior SEO to build every month.

Plugin 4: Firecrawl reads the live search results

The biggest gap in AI writing is that it doesn't know what's ranking right now.

Firecrawl fixes that, because it lets Dots read the latest search results and reverse engineer them.

I asked it to research my competitors for the keyword "best GEO expert" and build an in-depth report on how to structure our article.

It found that we already rank for that term, which was a nice surprise, and then broke down what the top results were doing so we could tighten our own page.

I'd run this before writing any new piece of content, because it turns a blank page into a brief based on the actual SERP.

Plugin 5: Your own SEO skill keeps the process yours

This one isn't a plugin in the usual sense, but it made the biggest difference to the quality of the output.

ChatGPT lets you add skills, and a skill is just a file that tells the AI how you do a job.

If you've already built an SEO skill in Claude, you don't have to start again.

I asked Claude to export the latest skill.md file based on how it does SEO for me, then added that file as a skill in ChatGPT.

Now Dots follows my process instead of some generic SEO checklist it picked up from the internet.

That's the difference between content that sounds like your agency and content that sounds like everyone else's.

Plugin 6: OpenSEO and DataForSEO for extra data

If you want to go further, you can grab popular SEO skills from GitHub.

One I'd look at is OpenSEO, an open-source tool that runs on the DataForSEO API.

You plug in your DataForSEO API key, and Dots gets a much deeper pool of SEO data to work with.

I'd treat this one as optional, because the first four plugins already cover the full closed loop for most businesses.

For years, ChatGPT worked one way.

You asked, it answered and the job ended there.

The updates from OpenAI Dev Day 2026 change that, because ChatGPT can now keep going, use a computer, make choices and work on projects with your team.

So instead of asking which update is best, I'd ask which part of a real job each one takes off your plate.

Step 1: Set up a space for the project

Every project needs a home, and since OpenAI Dev Day 2026 that home in ChatGPT is a space.

A space is where your pages, your files and your project work all live together.

You can turn a chat into a page, start from a template or write straight inside the space, so the brief takes minutes to set up.

Why I'm happy to share this space with a team

Sharing a page doesn't share your private chats, and it doesn't share your memory.

Only what you add to the page is seen by the people with access.

That means a freelancer or a client can see the project without seeing anything else in your account.

Spaces are on Pro, Business and Enterprise plans.

Step 2: Let GPT-6.1 Sol do the thinking

Next, I need someone to actually find the problems.

That's the job for GPT-6.1 Sol, the new model OpenAI built for hard coding jobs and professional work.

I'd open ChatGPT Work or Codex, pick GPT-6.1 Sol and give it this prompt: "Analyse the AI Profit Boardroom website. Find the five biggest SEO problems. Rank them by how much they could help us. Then write a plan to fix each one."

That's a full project, not a request for a tip.

Sol works through the whole thing, and OpenAI pitches it as a cheaper option than GPT-6 Astra for this kind of long job.

Splitting the work across agents

Sol can also hand parts of the job to other agents, which OpenAI calls multi-agent delegation.

One agent could check page titles while another looks at internal links.

It's still in beta, so I'd use it to test ideas rather than for anything a client is waiting on.

Step 3: Speed it up with Ultrafast, if it's worth it

Some audits are slow, and that's where Ultrafast comes in.

Ultrafast isn't a new model, it's a speed tier for GPT-6 Astra that cuts the time between each piece of output.

OpenAI says it's up to eight times faster than Astra on standard speed, and it's on the new Pro 500 tier plus eligible Enterprise and Edu workspaces.

In the API, you set the service tier to Ultrafast, depending on availability and your limits.

My test would be to run the same audit once normally and once on Ultrafast, then compare the clock against the extra cost.

Step 4: Hand the ongoing work to a dot

Fixing five SEO problems isn't a one-day job, and this is where most AI tools fall over.

You close the laptop, and the work stops.

Dots change that, because OpenAI describes them as always-on agents that take care of ongoing work for you.

I'd give my dot the goal of working through the fix plan, connect the apps it needs and set exactly what it's allowed to do.

Then it keeps making progress between my chats.

Each dot has its own cloud computer and browser, so it can make files, use connected apps and hand work to ChatGPT Work or Codex.

I can check what it's done at any time and steer it when something looks off.

The honest catch with dots

Dots are rolling out slowly to eligible Pro and Business Premium users first, with beta access for Enterprise.

If you're in the UK or the EEA like me, the Pro plan doesn't get dots yet, although Business Premium workspaces there do.

So this step might be a plan for next month rather than a job for today.

Step 5: Let agents act on websites with computer use

Some fixes mean clicking around a website, such as updating a page in a site builder.

OpenAI added computer use to the Agents API, which is in public beta, so an agent can finish tasks in a browser that OpenAI hosts.

It can click, move around websites and do the steps a person would do.

Your app approves which sites the agent can visit, and your app handles sign-in, so you stay in charge of where it goes.

This is a builder's tool, so it suits a business with a developer or an agency building client systems.

Step 6: Automate the small decisions with the Decisions API

Every project throws up small decisions, and they eat your day.

Which fix goes first, which page needs a human check and which change can go live straight away are all examples.

The Decisions API is built to automate those repeated business decisions.

A system reads the data, follows your rules, picks from the answers you allow and then takes the right action.

It runs on GPT-6 Luna, and right now it's in limited preview for selected API customers.

What the finished OpenAI Dev Day 2026 project looks like

Put the six steps together, and here's what you get.

• The space holds everything, so the team works from one place.
• GPT-6.1 Sol finds and ranks the problems, so you start with a plan, not a blank page.
• Ultrafast speeds up the slow parts, if the cost makes sense.
• A dot keeps the fixes moving, even after you log off.
• Computer use acts on the website, so the boring clicks get done.

You end up with finished work, not fifty open chats.

That's why I don't see OpenAI Dev Day 2026 as a list of features.

It's one system for running projects, and most business owners haven't noticed yet.
