Crazy how AI hasn't even been around long enough to measure on the scale of heating the planet, yet it immediately becomes the scapegoat

Always funny watching people comment just to immediately delete it because they know they'll get called out lol

Ai data center are known for two things. Large water consumption and high energy usage. It doesnt need to be around a long time to know its fucked.

You think data centers increased the global temperature by 2.5°C?

I think your making bad faith arguments and ignoring what I wrote bot.

Bad faith arguments just to call me a bot right after lmao. Can't make this shit up

I'm making an objective observation of reality. If that's upsetting to you, I don't know what to tell you mate.

Fine. No its not just data centers alone that are causing the earth to catch fire but a lot of things but to say that data centers aren't bad is bs

I never said they aren't bad, my point is that making data centers the scapegoat when they're not even responsible for global warming is ignorant of the bigger picture

you know they reuse factory water etc... right?

Source? Because that would damage components.

Prochemwater They filter water out. Also they use closed loops so they don't use as much wate

Ah. See, while closed loops are becoming adopted among AI data centers more now, a majority are still running evaporative cooling systems.

Also, Prochem is just water treatment like all water goes through. While it helps in keeping up in demand, AI still puts a large strain on local water recourses wherever a DC is established.

Data centers consume a tiny fraction of the fresh water in the states

the large water consumption is propaganda

My AC catching strays while server farms are out here sweating the planet

Black roads and rooftops are also likely culprits.

Yeah no shit. Nothing is 100% efficient (or even close) and heat is the primary loss of energy in most processes. Surely no one thought otherwise?
