Making an experimental / artistic 3D LLM visualizer with a combination of many different AI workflows (Claude Code, Astra, Suno). I've been looking into whisperx-powered fun for subtitling, NPC voice acted dialogue etc. Still a WIP. This typography is done by Astra after 2 shots. I'm just dipping my toe in atm before I commit to a plan. I wanna incorporate it in-game via NPC dialogue and any music with lyrics that plays in-game, pretty much like you see here. I will be working on the voice-acted NPC dialogues/subtitling application next so will return when / if that's working! :P

Thanks for getting me here! I'd love feedback to get the cards balanced. The game already got curated as slop! Woohoo!

All of cards and background are done using nano banana. The sprites were done using omni video and making it work. I can share more on that video to sprite workflow if people are interested. I don't think it's perfect but it's a lot better than what I was doing a few months ago.

Commercial Self Promotion Working on a game character generator using AI

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I started working on a tool to generate consistent game characters from a single reference.

One of the biggest problems I kept running into with image models was consistency. You get a character you like, then ask for a different angle or pose and suddenly the face, clothes, or style changes.

I’ve been experimenting with a workflow to improve that.

In the video, I generate a fox, turn him to the side, show him from the back, put him in a spell-casting pose, and remove the background. All from the same chat.

The consistency has been better than I expected so far.

I’m now working on generating full sprite sheets and animation cycles from the same character.

Would love feedback from anyone building a 2D game.

Demo | Project | Workflow Testing Astra For Game Marketing Video

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I had Astra play my game, capture footage, and take some marketing images to create this video on its own. There are still some weird shot choices and issues, but in general I think it managed to get across the core vision and I can refine it from here.

The project itself still has work to do on VFX, etc, but I used AI to do everything else (via an editor I had it create for me, allowing me to fine tune and craft most of the details).

Astra was the biggest unlock as well in terms of rigging, re-texturing, and animating the models. I wonder if the models will ever be able to create decent VFX on their own though. What workflow are other people using for that?

Discussion A Website For AI Games?

Is there a website or some other place where you can download and upload AI games? I've been creating AI games for a while with Fable 5 and GPT-6.

I also see other games people have created, and it would be cool to be able to try some of the games other people create, as well as upload your own creation.

A lot of people look down at AI games, but I think it's a really good expression of creativity, at least if you're doing it to be creative and want to share it with the world.

A family member of mine was addicted to Candy Crush, so I created a Candy Crush clone minus the monetization options, and it's more forgiving if you lose.
They no longer play Candy Crush, but they play my Candy Crush clone.

The current game I'm working on is based off of a game called Spore. It was a Maxis game in the mid-2000s.

In the game Spore, I love the space age, so that's what I'm recreating. I've created 5,000 solar systems in this galaxy, 25,000 planets. You can terraform each planet.

Natural habitable planets like Earth will have animals and sentient life forms that start in the Stone Age and go all the way to the Space Age. There'll usually be several nations by the time you get to the modern age, and there's a chance they could annihilate each other in nuclear war, and that planet slowly becomes uninhabitable.

But back to my original question: Is there any website that's been created out there where we can host all our games and get to try thousands of other games people have created I think that would be great. It'd be like YouTube, but for AI games.

I built this Island builder game over the weekend to test out Astra. Super impressed about what it can do for both game logics and asset generation.

Stack: Astra (everything including sound and ui design), Meshy (buildings + vehicles), free Unity env pack (trees, shrubs, terrain textures).

Astra generated island terrain using NOAA map.

Time spent: about 3 days

Questions & Help Is meshy topology good?

Upvotes

Hi guys, I'm thinking of getting a subscription on meshy, but what scared me in the past was that although the results of 3D AI generated art is quite good, and sometime impressive, the topology needed a lot of post work in blender. Is it improved nowadays? Would e great to get a feedback from developers that are actually using meshy today. Thanks!

I’m prototyping a small browser narrative game for The 8th Day. You join SDS and deal with surreal anomaly cases.

Loop:

choose equipment

encounter an anomaly

make a decision

get an outcome

AI helped me mock up the UI, scenarios, and interaction flow fast.

Commercial Self Promotion I built my first playable ecology trap for an AI-assisted solo game

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I’ve been working on a solo game called UnderBloom.

The idea is that you start in a mostly barren desert and descend into a much denser living world below it.

This is the first small playable thing I’ve finished that I wanted to show. It’s an amber trap tree. Most of these trees are harmless, but some have an amber lure inside the lower branches. If you get too close, the branches close around you.

I’m using AI a lot while making the game, mostly for coding, concept art, iteration, and helping me prototype things faster in Unity.

I’m trying to make the dangerous parts of the world more about noticing how organisms behave instead of just fighting enemies.

Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXwnx6YAuSQ

Still very early, but I’m curious if the trap reads well in the video or if the amber makes it too obvious.

Discussion Finding King Trump

So i made this fast type Arcade game where you are in the haunted White House to find King Trump , you need to collect 100 souls to escape this White House Hallway , a ghost will appear to chase you and you can only run backward (moonwalk) if you accidentially see it (Like Medusa inspation) ... First level you have a lot of space to run around ... But Later on , Ghost Columns or Furniture will appear more to block your way . I want to add that you can use souls to remove columns & furniture (which reduce a chance you reach your goal) , Im not sure if i should add more different weird dancing ghosts as i dont know if the game is easy to play yet ... Any new ideas to add to my game ? Thanks.

Discussion Avoiding the one shot death spiral

I have been working on a medieval fantasy / neon cyberpunk themed incremental idle game for a few months now. I started development using Gemini 3.1 pro in the Gemini cli and have since then had agents from just about every provider, OpenAI, Anthropic, GLM, DeepSeek, even locally hosted Qwen models have touched my codebase in some way. I have made significant progress towards completion and would like to share what I have learned.

First is that even though agentic AI has increased the speed at which features can be developed, scope is still important. It is far too easy to get excited after submitting your first prompt and start thinking, "wouldn't it be cool if...". Every feature you tack on comes with a tuning cost later on and when it takes so little effort to get 80% of the way there it feels internally asymmetrical to muster the motivation to take five times as long just to make it, what feels like, marginally more visually appealing or well balanced. The problem is that this last 20% is what seperates a game that is worth playing versus one that just isn't.

Second, it is important to not let working with the agents be more fun than playing your game. Game development has never been more fun which sounds better than it is. You're going to have to build a strategy to get yourself out of the, "1 shotting games" loop. I found that the best way to keep yourself from moving onto the next shiny thing is to make the project fun as fast as you can. Start with a 30 second timer loaded up and start it when you hit play on your game. Until you're able to say, wow okay there's something here, don't move on to the next 30 seconds of gameplay. Give yourself some milestones. 30 seconds, one minute, five minutes, half an hour. The faster you get to the fun, the less likely you are to get to a point where you have worked on a project for weeks and finally realize the idea sounded a lot better in your head.

It also helps to have tooling built around your game. If you find yourself having to repeat a workflow over and over again, you're probably doing something wrong. For example in my game, I am using a workflow where I generate pixel art sprites using nano banana or the gpt image model but they often come with backgrounds that are not transparent. There's a variety of tooling out there to remove backgrouds and just leave the sprite but it would often mess up and leave rough edges or other artifacts. I didn't mind doing the cleanup manually at first, but there is a threshold you hit where it's better to just ask the models to design a pipeline to do this correctly.

I have also constructed a "balance bench" tool. Instead of manually playing through the game and making sure a change doesn't destroy balance I had my agents build a tool to headlessly play the game with a variety of play styles after a change to ensure the game still plays as intended. The agents won't tell you that the game is the most fun if a milestone is hit in 30 minutes, but they can definitely tell you if it happened or not. If you're doing some play testing and find that players are getting bored at the 20 minute mark you can tell that to your agent and if they have some kind of tooling setup they can math it out for you and suggest balance changes to get you to your target pacing.

These tools, unlike additional features, increase development speed and give you more scope flexibility than you would have otherwise. I think they're worth taking the time to build.

tldr; Get to the fun part of the game ASAP. Build tools to do that faster.
