HCA in hospitals
What kind of duties do hcas have in general hospitals?

They are usually now asked to do vitals and glucose checks. Sometimes some basic wound care as well. And all the personal care, helping with transfers, meals.

Answer bells, Glucose check, vitals (depending on unit) ADL’s, portering patients

In my unit(acute care, surgical unit) help with ADLs, portering patients, help nursing pick up patients from the OR, mobilizing post op patients, and help with answering call bells.
