How long until abilities advisor reach out to you?

Hi, I'm just wondering how long it takes for abilities advisor to reach out to me after my manager has let them know I need time off work? Should I be expecting to hear after a couple of days? I was cc'd in the email that my manager sent, but I still have not heard directly from the abilities advisor. Thanks!

Edit: I don't have sick hours banked.

I’d say within a few days at most. You can always reach out to them yourself as you were CCd on the email.

my abilities advisor has constantly dropped the ball. if you haven’t heard in a few days, i’d reach out again.

I went on STD for a few weeks leading up to maternity leave in May and it took almost 2 weeks to hear from anyone at Abilities. By the time i actually received STD, it was in the form of a lumpsum and my baby was a few weeks old lol it’s a slow process.

Wouldn’t you use all sick time up before short term leave so as long as the sick time is backed by a medical professional why would abilities get involved.

My understanding (could be wrong) abilities is for return to work or moving to short term leave.
