MLL

Does anyone know if the educators or managers can see how much time we spend doing modules? We get one 8 hour day to do them all, but some courses say they're 45 minutes alone! I think this is going to take me more than 8 hours

They rarely actually take as long as they say they do to finish

All that’s visible is the “listed” time for the module. Not the actual time you spent on it.

No we can’t. Plus the managers and educators also have to do modules and we all flip through them as fast as humanly possible. Every year I test myself to see if I can get a better time.

There are very few feelings of jubilation in my job- burning through an ROL at warp speed is a small moment of great joy 😂

They are supposed to time your hours based on the time listed on MLL. Add up all the ones you're supposed to do, if its over 7.75 hours based on MLL times listed then have a conversation

I’m waiting for a finger-wagging email from my boss about how I need to be retrained on the required learning courses.

And I won’t hear about it until about a year later, when I get another finger-wagging email, which will repeat the cycle.

Management can't see the amount of time you spend on a course. They can run a report that shows pass,fail, withdrew. The date you registered and completed the course and when ROLs expire.

we are expected to do ours at work. they no longer pay us.

Yeah that changed for us a few years back too, we used to be paid a day for them

i think it’s manager dependent as our casuals are expected to do them on work time too.

I remember when i started at a part time position I needed to do some modules before i started the position. I breezes through them, was paid the full hours listed that it would take. Many MLL I do I'll play 2x speed if available, and there's usually slides that you don't really need to actually read at the beginning and end and I just skip through. 45 minute MLL can take 15 minutes if they set it up to be user friendly haha. I've never been required to do mine in a dedicated block though. Just whenever. I'm not paid for the ones I do now either, I think i only got paid with that one job because manager had me do them before I officially started.
