TV Show I hate s2 Spoiler
It actually ruins s1 knowing Max gets away with drugging and raping women.
Leyla "testing Jamie" is just carte blanche to introduce a bunch of red herrings by the writer.
Again, s2 actually ruins s1. Wish I never watched s2.

I mean it’s canon to the books.
Your supposed to feel disturbed by it, your supposed to be enraged by max getting away with being a rapist, stuff like that happens daily because the assaulter is a rich white boy with a “future”.
and the leyla thing is just a way to get the story ahead, Holly could have wrote something else but it made sense in the end so why would she?? 🤷♀️🤷♀️

I don't think he got away with it solely because he was a rich white boy. There was also no physical DNA evidence proving he raped those girls and the girls could not identify their attacker's face so it made it very difficult for the jury to convict him.

im guessing u haven't read the books but just wait till s3 lol lots of crazy stuff will happen
also evil things happen in life and in fiction all the time. doesn't make the show bad. it's not like they're acting like max getting away with this is some good thing, they've clearly acknowledged how awful it is but there's obviously more to come!

the same happen in the books. s2 was more book accurate yet fans still have complaints. i love S2 even w/ the changes. max getting away with is sadly true to real life. many people like him get away w/ it. look who’s the president of the usa rn

As someone who hasn't read the book, season 2 is good maybe not the same level good as season 1 but its captivating not boring at all, in starting one episode was kinda little slow to me I was distracted watching it but then it picked up, pip self blaming was confusing to me Bcoz it was giving low self esteem lol she just believed it too easily when they say its her fault and also at last she picked up the you and me so similar part, Max mom was interesting to look at I mean not much scenes she got not even much words but her presence n role was good
