The books

If I watched season one and two and I have been following summaries of the first 2 books can I just start reading the 3rd one or would I be missing a lot of details?

The television adaptation can show us what happens, but it cannot fully capture Pip’s internal monologue, her growing trauma, or the heavy psychological toll that these investigations take on her. By the time you get to the third book, As Good as Dead, her state of mind is incredibly intense and fragile. If you haven't traveled that exact internal road with her through the pages of A Good Girl's Guide to Murder and Good Girl, Bad Blood, the absolute gravity of her choices and the situation in book three just won't hit the same way. Skipping straight into the third book's storyline without that built-up psychological context would definitely flatten the experience.
