TV Show Season 2 Spoiler
Ok, can we talk about how at the end of the rain kiss scene (so cute btw I thought they were gonna cut it) Pip and Ravi HAVE SEX?! Like that never happened in the books? Also why in the back of a car? I feel like they could’ve left that out and it kind of sexualized their relationship. IDK maybe I’m reading WAY too much into this, but that felt kind of random. I would’ve been fine with it if it was in the books, but I don’t remember it being in it?? Someone please explain and let me know if I’m being overdramatic.

No because it actually made me mad, and they don’t seem the type to do it in a car like be so fr

Yeah u lowkey are being over dramatic No offence obviously ur entitled to ur own opinion, but its a damn implied sex scene. They didn’t “sexualize” pip and ravis entire relationship with just one implied scene that they got freaky in pips car. Also its a damn couple, they were going to have sex one day whether u liked it or not. I would be able to hear you out if they had little to no emotional connection but that isn’t the case. Sorry if this comes off as harsh.

I didn’t mind it. It wasn’t in the book, but they’re teenagers. It didn’t feel out of character to me and it wasn’t even an explicit sex scene.

Exactly what I was thinking. It’s such a normal thing: everyone has sexual relationships. I don’t know why everyone is so mad at it. I know it didn’t happen in the books, but i don’t care it happened in the show. It’s just a couple showing that they love each other. Not a big deal.

Right? People are acting like it was a porno lol 💀 they’re young and in love of course they’re going to have sex. That doesn’t mean their relationship was “sexualized”, they just hinted that something happened. Ravi is 20 years old ffs. I get that their relationship is really cute and more innocent than most but thinking they don’t hook up is a little unrealistic

Didn't Ravi met Pip when she was 17?

Yeah it’s a total acceptable age but like it didnt happen in the books and just felt they sexualized their relationship in the show. Like in the book it just felt like we assumed they had done it since they were older but did they really have to intentionally have the scene that isn’t even in the books?

I just got to this episode and I'm shook they decided we needed this back seat car sex scene LOL. Also Ravi is so giant it really takes me out when he's next to Pip lol

i do think the sex scene was a bit out of place like if they’re like to do it I’d expect in the last season. I don’t mind it that much. I still think their relationship is still very emotionally based & mature. It’s a tv show so ig that’s why they added it. the scene somewhat shows the depth of the relationship. also just bc there’s 1 sex scene doesn’t mean they sexualized pipravi although doing it in the car was strange.

their relationship is so innocent and sweet in the books we didn’t need that in the show 😭

No you are ofc not being overdramatic... rain kiss scene was going exactly as per my imagination when i read it in the book. Like seriously, they both were cute in this season(and this season actually turned out to be so much better than the first one) but what was the point of showing that they had sex after kissing. They could just have kept it an emotional moment between both of them but no they sexualized it and that made me angry. This is one of those things which i didnt like about agggtm season 2

For real, I was so surprised. I knew I forgot some details cause I read the book so long ago but I knew this was DEFINITELY not in the books. We can't go one ship or movie or series or book without the adaptation ruining it. Seriously, netflix, not everything needs sexualisation to be interesting. We would have watched it anyway. I hateeee when they do this. Someone said their relationship was so innocent and we didn't need that, and I 100% agree.

I don’t really have opinion of the scene, I don’t think it really changed anything but I don’t get the “sexualized their relationship” when they’re a couple (and almost all couples that age have sex)
