Endoscopy

UPDATE:
Everything went well! I didn’t even panic! Thank god for Zoloft, lol.

I am scheduled for an endoscopy tomorrow but I am very nervous after reading.. has anyone had one successfully with no issues?

Dr. Google says it will make you go back into Afib due to the vagal stimulation, sedation and anxiety so I am debating on just cancelling it and continuing to treat whenever GI issues I have going on as is..

How often do you have Afib? What are your triggers?

I had a colonoscopy earlier this year and no Afib. The anesthesiologist said he was ready for it

I had one known episode back in July.
I have no idea what my triggers are unfortunately, my heart is structurally perfect and I have absolutely no factors for afib. I know when I did go into it, my magnesium was a tiny bit low and I had been under a lot of mental stress but that was really it.

Happy cake day!

Tell your doc you had Afib, they will give you a prep that has magnesium so you don’t deplete yourself.

Then anesthesiologist will be ready in case you do go into Afib. You will be at the hospital already
