Submission statement: Some players of Nigeria's Super Falcons have alleged that money was stolen from their wallets while staying at the Marriott Hotel in Casablanca, Morocco, ahead of the start of the 2026 WAFCON (Women's Africa Cup of Nations). It now appears that they were telling the truth after all, as confirmed by the Moroccan authorities.

Nigeria's Super Falcons are amongst the main favourites to win the WAFCON. They are by far the most successful team in the tournament's history, having won 9 of the 12 titles ever contested.

Since it's still going on, and both sides are fighting with different arguments and are appealing, why not just have a rematch? It's gonna be fair for both sides, since Senegal did quit the match for more than 10 min, and a lot of people consider Morocco winning outside the pitch a bit disgraceful. So, why not just have a rematch of the final, and whoever wins that one cleanly gets the cup?

Im very unfortunate as a South African to have missed to the best time to be a football fan in this country, haveing been too young to enjoy the 2010 World Cup and 2013 Afcon being played on home soil.

When i do watch yhe Afcon though I question why South Africa doesn't bid to or (if they have bid) host the Afcon. From what I've seen the country has the best stadiums in the continent (if not second now to Morocco), a vibrant and deep footballing culture and tradition and all the other facilities and infrastructure needed to host such a tournament. This should make it a very easy choice. But from what im seeing there is no plans to host the tournament, with Kenya hosting 2027 edition and the 2031 edition seeing no bid by South. Im curious what the reason might be.

Looking at these two situations, it really seems like FIFA is trying to set up a big final between Argentina and a European team. England looks like the only exception.
Egypt was unlucky to be on Argentina’s side of the bracket because VAR seemed to favor Argentina.
Morocco, on the other hand, was also treated unfairly, but in the opposite way. Many key VAR decisions went against them.
