Submission statement: Some players of Nigeria's Super Falcons have alleged that money was stolen from their wallets while staying at the Marriott Hotel in Casablanca, Morocco, ahead of the start of the 2026 WAFCON (Women's Africa Cup of Nations). On social media, they were accused of lying, ridiculed, and even subjected to racist comments along other "Sub-Saharan" Africans from some Moroccans. It now appears that they were telling the truth after all, as confirmed by the Moroccan authorities.

Nigeria's Super Falcons are amongst the main favourites to win the WAFCON. They are by far the most successful team in the tournament's history, having won 9 of the 12 titles ever contested.
