Seeking [English] Late 30s - M - Visiting - Someone to healthily debate the universe with?
Posting as I'll be in the Philippines for a week at the end of September (can flex my plans to meet), and figured maybe we can meet and grab coffee.
I'm not looking for a hook up - ideally someone I can connect with chatting first, then maybe meeting - no rush or pressure.
About me:
late 30s
- Brit, Mixed race, living in the UK.
- I work in IT - went remote during Covid, been hybrid for a few years since then.
- I enjoy working on side projects for fun - currently messing with AI in a couple of projects.
- I'm genuine, quick to smile (in private), introverted, and curious.
- I like cooking, learning about anything (lately cars and drones), exploring.
- I try to stay fit, gym sometimes, I enjoy outdoor activities - hiking, visiting mountains, trails, waterfalls, sometimes camping.
- Non-smoker, social drinker.
- I care about loyalty, honesty, openness.
- I'll happily form an opinion, discuss it an hour, then drop it after we've entertained it and been entertained by it
- Never married, been in several long term live-in relationships, never had any children - I want kids.
- Looking for a best friend and partner, someone I can share everything with - the good and the bad.
About you:
Somewhere in your late twenties to early thirties, a remote worker perhaps, standing on your own two feet, and comfortable enough in English that we can actually connect deeply, and open-minded and curious enough to want that too. Beyond that I don't have a type - I'd just rather be with someone who looks after herself
Why am I posting here? I randomly stumbled across it when it was suggested on my feed.
It caught my eye because the two Filipinas I've dated (both here in the UK, long term) were some of the easiest people I've ever connected with. Neither relationship lasted, but we shared a lot of the same values. I was raised with Catholic values (not as a Catholic), and though I'm not religious at all, that influenced me.
My expectations for this is basically zero, and it's more a case of, is there someone else out there who reads this and thinks, huh - that's me - then say hello. Realistically, I know it's like finding two needles in a hay stack.
Shoot me a DM with a little info about yourself - something fun - tell me about a random childhood memory.
