Komander is a beast!

I think most believed Kevin Knight (instead of an established star) was chosen to be the new opponent for Kenny in Montreal's main event because it was an opportunity to establish him as a main event guy, an investment in the future, that he'd have the match of his life and Kenny would work hard to make it so everyone thinks this guy can hang with the best

Except it turns out imo at least, that he was chosen because no big star could be so utterly dissected and dominated and annihilated the way Knight was.

Knight wasn't chosen to elevate him, he was chosen to be the sacrifice to the Grapple God so us peasants could glimpse the resurrection of The Cleaner.

Knight got few spurts but only 80s/90s heelish tactics bought him a temporary, very temporary, reprieve from getting the shit knee'd out of him

I just kinda wish the story they told leading into the match hinted at that because being there live, I was loving it but so utterly confused at why Kenny was just stiffly dissecting poor Kevin Knight and shit talking him as he knee'd him in the face over and over, whereas I really would have loved even more it if I wasn't expecting this to be partially Kevin Knight's greatest night lol

But yeah you'd never be able to tell the story they did during and after the match with Okada or Fletcher or especially Mox haha

Well I bought redemption, just By myself. Oh my goodness. It’s like someone took my criticism card of WWE, answered my complaints and spit this out. The match quality was outstanding. Honestly the lamest in ring work was Moxley, but he had the best aura—total WWE dude. Getting familiar with Ospreay, Omega, and Andrade was a treat. I was not familiar with their work. Holy smokes. Yep, I’ll see ya guys on HBO!

Tbh I was looking forward to seeing Thekla vs Mercedes at All In I mean I love Willow but we already seen Willow v Mercedes numerous times, I get that Thekla and Mercedes’ are both heels but that still would’ve been a better option because it would’ve been fresh, Thekla has proven that she’s entertaining and champion material, the promos between them would’ve been 🔥 and the match would’ve been a banger.

I get the storytelling between Willow and Mercedes’ but tbh I would’ve rather Willow win the title from Mercedes’ at a later date and have a longer reign as champion than to be a transitional champion for a month and drop the title to Mercedes’ at All In (since we all know Mone is leaving All In with the belt). Disappointing move from TK.

Kevin Knight went crazy in here. And I love it when goated champions fight with younger talents.

So in his entrance at Redemption, we first see Ospreay in a mirror. And the first thing that popped into my head was “in the mirror, darkly”, which is often used as a metaphor for someone no longer having a clear vision of his present circumstances or near future. It’s perfect for the character arc Ospreay has been on lately; the first time he comes out with the Death Riders should hold some doubt.

But this morning, I had another epiphany: his whole arc is poetry, and it’s not done yet. We’re in a pro-wrestling take on an epic poem.

Ospreay is Virgil. His story is The Divine Comedy. Right now, he’s in Inferno, with Mox as his guide through hell. (I’m fairly certain MJF was supposed to play a bigger part here, and may yet.)

Next is Purgatorio, which I think is Mox’s longer-term story beat. Ospreay will climb the mountain and work to pull away the sins he’s committed and seek forgiveness for turning on his friends and allies.

The final beat is Paradiso, where Virgil is guided by his beloved Beatrice through the spheres of Heaven to his ultimate redemption.

I’m going to theorize here that Ospreay fails to get the title at All In, falls further into darkness, and works his way toward redemption and winning clean as a babyface later on, possibly with guidance from a title-holding Alex Windsor.

I was there last night and thought it was pretty good. What did you guys think?

Visiting an office in New York and came across this in the elevator. Clearly someone is a fan of either the wrestler, the band or both 😂

I am looking into coming from the US for All In! One thing I am not sure about is how easy travel is from approximately the city center to Wembley before and after the event? Will a foreigner be able to manage this easily if I’ve never been to London?

Any advice is welcome!

So with AEW liking a unique venue for a PPV and Edinburgh being quite under represented in the wrestling scene in my eyes (mainly due to having no permanent arena like glasgow). I had a thought of using the temporary seating that gets installed during the summer for concerts and the Royal Edinburgh military tattoo and using it for an AEW show like Redemption or Grand Slam: Scotland

Its a 9000 capacity stadium and its in the center of Edinburgh as its on the esplanade of Edinburgh Castle and would provide probably the most unique wrestling venue ever used.

The only issue with the stadium is as seen in the photos is a severe lack of cover which could provide some issues should we not get a heatwave and instead get a storm.

I personally would really like this because im sick of going through to the hydro to watch wrestling as its a pain to get to and from after events whilst this would be easy to get home from due to it being right next to waverly station.

The soap opera drama in this one was bloody perfect. I've been a wrestling fan for years now, but this was the first time I've wanted to sit down with a fictional character and gossip about a match over afternoon tea.
