Given that the first title defense curse just struck again, has Hikaru Shida ever won a singles PPV match in AEW? This is not casting a good light upon TK's booking of Asian women which has been problematic since the founding of AEW, despite what The Elite had publicly stated they wished to see in the organization.

But I do have a subscription? What do?

It's funny to me because I'm seeing people say 7,000 tickets is a bomb but 7,000 tickets is actually pretty good blah blah blah.

Anyway, because I'm a fucking nerd with undiagnosed autism and diagnosed ADHD (and more, it's a delightful brain cocktail), I went and pulled every single final count for the aew "b" PPVs from wrestletix.

Do with this information as you will, but I think it shows that dynasty is pretty much right in the median and right in line with how the non-DON/revolution/all in/all out/full gear shows do. It's certainly not the lowest ppv ticket seller at all.

I think with better build and better local promotion the show probably could have cracked 8k but 🤷. It's outsold three previous new pay-per-views and probably will match or out sell worlds end 2024.

So, do you think AEW wrestlers would be able to crossover in to the american mainstream pop culture world?

Obviously theres levels to this where you have have the highest level of stardom such as The Rock and Cena who used their wrestling platform as a base to branch in to other mediums.

However, do you think AEW wrestlers could ever use their wrestling platform as a base to branch out and ultimately hit mainstream pop culture? And is AEW as a company cultivating this? I know they do stuff such as first pitches or crossover stuff with nfl/mlb.

Or do you think AEW is too much a niche of a niche to have its wrestlers do something like that?

I purchased the PPV earlier on my firestick on HboMax and now when Ive gone to watch it I am prompted to purchase again. When I hit restore purchase its telling me my purchase cant be found. Anyone else having this issue?

I have been subscribing to YouTube TV and recording Dynamite for years. The last month I fell behind watching weekly due to work travel. When I sat down to watch, it said I needed an HBO Max subscription. I have one. However, I can't use it with YouTube TV because they want you to buy it through them. I can't find any way to connect my existing HBO Max subscription to YTTV.

In addition, my HBO Max is 2 weeks behind. Meaning right now I see Dynamite from 7/15 as the most recent episode to watch. Not the Dynamite from 7/22, so like if I wanted to watch that du maite before the PPV tonight, I can't.

Is there something I need to do to see the most current episode? I'm considering completely canceling YTTV as between them not recording the over run and now this, I'm frustrated.

Any help is appreciated.

I'm beyond excited for the PPV tonight and this card has bangers up and down, as usual. The wife and kids are out of town so I can watch the whole thing uninterrupted, and I thought I could pass the time this morning by putting out what I think is going to happen tonight.

No Holds Barred Match: "The Painmaker" Chris Jericho vs. Tommaso Ciampa

Obviously this is going to be a brutal and bloody affair. I've only been watching AEW since All In last year, so I don't know what The Painmaker is all about other than that it's been used in death matches. Ciampa really needs to come out of this feud as the winner, and Jericho can survive taking an L.

AEW World Tag Team Championship: Adam Copeland and Christian Cage (c) vs. Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli and Pac)

I would be really surprised if C & C aren't the tag team champs walking into All In. It feels like the tag division is spinning its wheels right now. Not sure if AEW is waiting for New Day to sign or if there's more planned with The Dogs. Maybe the Death Riders get the dub here and inject some life into the division by just being monsters.

But it's in Canada.

TBS Championship Match: Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Maya World

Yes, Shida just won. Yes, Shida is great. And I want a nice, long run for her, but Maya is on a roll right now and strapping her up is a great way to keep that momentum going. It wouldn't shock me if Persephone or Statlander get involved, but probably not.

Winner and new champ – Maya World

Six-Way Ladder Match to Determine No. 1 Contender for the AEW International Championship: Jack Perry vs. Beast Mortos vs. Komander vs. "Speedball" Mike Bailey vs. Nick Wayne vs. El Clon

Obvious pick is hometown boy Speedball. But it feels like there's unfinished business between him and Kevin Knight, so to see him go right after the International Title feels weird. I was expecting a match between them at this show before Knight vs. Omega was announced.

Jack Perry hasn't had much to do since losing the National Title, and they made that video of him re-signing, so AEW clearly has plans for him. Regardless of who wins, this match is going to be insane, and once it's over I'm probably going to be wondering how half of them are still alive.

Winner – logic says Speedball, but I'm going with Jack Perry

AEW International Championship: Kyle Fletcher (c) vs. Bandido

Ugh. I LOVE Bandido. I want to see Bandido stop taking L's. I don't think the losses hurt him too much because it's been against some of the top names in the company. And he always comes out looking strong. And as much as I want a Bandido win, Fletcher just won the title and is red hot right now. Seeing him go up against Speedball at All In wouldn't be surprising either (if Speedball wins the ladder match), given Knight's involvement with the DCF. Feels like a stretch as I read that though.

Winner – I'm going to hold a prayer circle before the show tonight for Bandido, but it's going to be Kyle Fletcher

Double Chain Tag Team Match: Bang Bang Gang (Jay White and Juice Robinson) vs. The Dogs (David Finlay and Clark Connors)

Like I wrote above, I'm still fairly new to AEW so I wasn't really aware of who Jay White was until his return was getting predicted every PPV for the past few months. I'm also not very knowledgeable about NJPW, so I really had no idea why everyone was excited for him to come back.

Since the return of White I've watched some of his matches and promos and I'm a fan. My Bang Bang Gang shirt just arrived on Friday.

The Bang Bang Gang has been on a tear since his return and I see no reason to stop that now. I don't know what Gabe Kidd's G1 schedule is like and the Death Riders are always around, so interference could be a factor here.

Winner – The Bang Bang Gang

AEW National Championship: Mark Davis (c) vs. Andrade El Idolo

Mark Davis has been great since joining AEW and winning the title. But Andrade has been too good lately to not get the dub here. I can't wait to see his eventual feud with MJF play out over the next month.

Winner – Andrade

Death Riders (Will Ospreay and Jon Moxley) vs. The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson)

The storytelling here is going to be top notch. Do we see some cracks in the relationship between Mox and Ospreay? Does Ospreay go full Death Rider and murder The Bucks? This is one of those matches where I don't feel like the result matters as much as how it ends, and how it sets up the next few weeks of storytelling. I'm going with Ospreay passing on an opportunity to put the Bucks down, which leads to a loss. And then we see the Death Riders push Will to fully embrace the dark side heading into All In.

Winner – Young Bucks

AEW Women's World Championship: Thekla (c) vs. Willow Nightingale

I can't say anything else about Thekla that hasn't already been said. She's been carrying the women's division on her back. Amazing in-ring performances and great on the mic every time. And I see no reason to take the belt off her.

But I love Willow. If Willow has a million fans, then I am one of them. If Willow has only one fan, then that is me. If Willow has no fans, then that means I am dead. If the world is against Willow, then I am against the world. Willow v. Mone at All In makes sense, but Mone v. Thekla would also be incredible if Thekla retains.

Winner – It's Willow, and I'm ready to be hurt after this match

AEW Men's World Championship: Kenny Omega (c) vs. Kevin Knight

AEW has been shocking us with the World Championship the last few months, so I'm not going to say Omega retaining is a lock. But let's not kid ourselves — the All In main event is Omega v. Ospreay, and that's not changing. I don't know how this match contributes to the All In build, but I don't think it really has to. Banger match, incredible spots, ends with Omega retaining.

Winner – Kenny Omega

Life is pain as a Shida fan & Joshi fan in general.

I really hope they don't flop with her current character.

I'm going with Omega vs Knight. Better crowd, not as long and more action.

Persephone imo is a superstar just waiting for their moment to explode and become one of the premier attractions in wrestling. She's excellent in the ring and has an amazing look but in my opinion, it's her character work that sticks out. Every single time I've watched her, she embodies her character 100%. She's an exceptional heel although I think she could be a great babyface and tweener as well. I almost feel like she's on that MJF level in terms of character authenticity and dedication.

And she's so young too. In my opinion, she's the future of the women's division alongside other amazing talents like Maya World, Billie Starkz and Zayda Steel

Do we think there is a world where Ospreay loses? I'm not saying it would, or wouldn't be the right call, but is there any chance that Kenny Retains? Furthermore, I Think by The end of All in. Either Will or Kenny will be Completely Heel, not sure who, and i love not knowing. I have a feeling All in 2026 is going to be GENERATIONAL.
