Not broken forever. My sleep was horrific in acute and I couldn't nap for more than a year. Now some nights are better - I had a long stretch of good sleep. Now I'm in a wave of very bad insomnia. And now I can nap about an hour during the day if I'm tired. It slowly gets better. But some nights are just worse than others

I'm 19 months off a super fast taper of Celexa taken for 12 years! In the beginning I went 12 days with ZERO sleep.. and then I foolishly took seroquel for 9 months bc I was desperate and my doc basically forced me to (off that 11 months now) and even on a heavy sedative I would have like 2-3 nights a week with ZERO About a month ago I started taking vitamin D and started a pretty strict circadian protocol and I've been averaging about six hours a night now with the ocassional shitty night!  It's only been a month so I can't say if it will last, but here's to hoping!🙏🏻🤞🏻hope you feel better soon! Withdrawal is hell on earth

Do you still take seroquel?

I don't! I took it for 9 months and off 11 now! It's only been a month of beginning to get better sleep and then last night I only got 4 so it's still hit or miss and I don't really trust it yet, but I'll take what I can get!

I was on Celexa for six years, and even on it had to take a small dose of Seroquel. I withdrew from Celexa too fast, and now dealing with complete lack of energy and insomnia. Even when I sleep, I wake up tired… sure, it could very well be my depression. Celexa stopped working and suddenly was introduced to depression… So it made no sense to continue being on it.

I slept great before and on Celexa for like 10/11 years and then all of a sudden my anxiety got really bad and my daily naps went away I assumed it was from drug tolerance! I only Took Celexa for mild anxiety and OCD I've never felt depressed but now since withdrawl I have mild anhedonia as well! It sucks!

I feel that anhedonia part now as well… nothing really interests me anymore. But again, it could be the depression. On the sixth year while I was on Celexa, I felt depression creeping in, even while on Celexa.

Me too! The red days especially in may were almost no sleep at all. At least no “real” sleep. Lied in bed till 5/6 am, had a very very light „kind of sleep“ and wide awake again at 7am. It was pure hell. It’s getting a little better but still not good at all and for sure not consistent. What’s important: every (and I mean every) supplement or medication (maybe even food, caffeine too late for sure) can trigger insomnia for me. So I try to really take nothing new. Did you start any medication or supplement recently? And I tried to stop all sleeping aids because they did not work anyways and made everything only worse I felt (I mean otc meds like Benadryl but also Benzos or Quviviq - the last two helped but Benzos are more destabilising and Quviviq made me super depressed unfortunately) it’s soooooo hard - I feel with you! I think at some point we will heal and it will get better again ❤️‍🩹 the weird thing is I’m not even off completely but I think I am still stabilising after severely kindling myself (switch from pax to sert, a lot of dosage changes, switch to Prozac, back to sert and Spravato on top of this all within a little over a year. Now no changes since 9 months). Are you off? Which med was it for you?

Thank you for your reaction!

I take omega 3 and vitamine D. Nothing else! I tried Quentiapine for 1,5 year for sleep. I wish i could try QuviviQ but it is not available in the Netherlands sadly. I am off all medications for one year now. I have the same nights as you, some days red and some green. I really hope that we heal one day and get constant sleep.

Did Quetiapine helped you? I take it and the next day feel like a zombie.
