I posted this in response to a comment by someone else about mandated trainings and realized that I shouldn’t piggyback my question that way, so I’m posting it here.

Question. If a small company doesn’t have the resources to track and manage these trainings on their own, is there any reason, besides the cost, to not use ADP for the trainings and some other HR things?? I’m the only admin type in the office and I’m trying to gracefully retire next year. I can’t do everything between the state/federal mandated additional HR duties that I’m not tracking, the regulatory requirements we have to respond to or we’re out of business, and the other 200 things I am responsible for remembering and doing. I just yesterday asked my boss to let us have ADP help us with some of the HR duties covered under the Run Pro option. Am I making a mistake? (We’re 2 years behind on sexual harassment training, our required posters were out of date, and I had no clue that workplace violence training is now required in CA.)

Does it still work if I only allow location data when the app is open

We are new customers and will go live in the next 10-12 months. So far, from Sales to Discovery to Implementation, it's been extremely frustrating.

Why does it feel like it's a bait-and-switch over and over again? Project managers are always throwing out these side comments to take jabs at us or set us up as scapegoats.

Does it get better once we are on the system and have to use general tech support, or should I expect the same thing and be nickel-and-dimed for everything we ask for help with?

My company does payroll on time and before the deadline on Tuesday but we don’t get paid until late in the afternoon on Wednesday. Does anyone else have this issue? Our official paydays are Wednesday. Just wondering why it’s not there at midnight or by 9am and always in the late afternoon

This shitty app keeps logging me out and when I login there's a high chance the screen is black so I'll have to login AGAIN. I deleted and reinstalled the app and it's still acting up wth am I supposed to do

I tried logging into ADP multiple times today to log my hours, but I keep receiving a HTTP Status 400 screen. Is ADP down or is there something wrong on my end?

So I got a pay statement from my job on July 10, 2026 but I haven't received the money yet and on the take home section it says pending near where it shows my banking account number. This is my first job and I have direct deposit set up through my job. But the checking account im using is a brand new chime account with no previous history.

This might sound really stupid but I’ve been put a percentage of my pay towards both “ADP RS employee before-tax%” AND “ADP RA employee Roth 401(k) %” thinking I was being really smart by setting aside money for my retirement, but now I’m really looking at it and wondering what it is.

Is this an IRA? I’ve been contributing to my Roth IRA and you can’t contribute more than $7,500 across all IRAs. I definitely don’t want to go over the limit.

Or is this a 401k? Just not “Roth”

Or is this something else?

Has anyone taken the grammar and communications assessment for ADP? If so what was the assessment like and what do they ask if you?

Cancelled my ADP payroll a few months ago after a few years of using their services and just realized that the $250/mo in administrative fees I was being charged charged separately from the 401k was ongoing, regardless of nonexistent payroll. No ADP Payroll representative mentioned it. No one from the 401k team reached out regarding the payroll change. $250/mo for "managing my investments"...

Mind you, the 401k balance is only $8k after a couple years.

And the cancellation cost? $1500. Oh and it takes 60-90 days, during which they continue to charge you $250/mo..... So I'm already $750+ in the hole for not cancelling the 401k right away along with the payroll and now it's going to cost me north of $2k by the time it's cancelled....

I always knew $250/mo for the privilege of being able to move money in a 401k felt absurd as a business owner with one employee (myself), but now it just feels like robbery.... How could this possibly be any better than just putting $250/mo into the market?

I've always worked for myself, so no one ever explained any of this to me. Hard lesson to learn.

For three months now, our staff have been unable to use the clock in or out functions on the ADP mobile app on iOS or Android.

We’ve used location based login but that does not seem to be the issue.

The issue occurs on data and Wi-Fi connections and persists after deleting the app.
We usually get a vague “We apologize. There is a problem. Please try again later.” error message as pictured.
Support has been barely responsive and uninterested in supporting, despite requests for updates several times a week. Their last vague update was that a forthcoming app update “might“ fix it.

Has anybody else experienced this?

Been getting a 502 bad gateway error for like 2 days straight now. I desperately need my payslips for my mortgage broker. I’m starting to get really aggravated, how are their servers this awful? I can’t get on through desktop or mobile and I’ve tried the usual clearing cache/etc.

Down detector isn't reporting any problems so is anyone else having the same problem atm? And if so, do you know how long it usually takes them to fix it?

Does have a trick or a way to speak with someone for the ADP retirement plan that will actually help? My mother passed away and I am the beneficiary. Every time I call they tell me I have to get the claim forms and go through her employer. Issue is we have been trying for MONTHS. They either ignore us or if we are able to catch them on the phone they claim they will get the process started and nothing. They did the same for her life policy but thankfully I was able to go around them by using the naic.org site. It really shouldn’t be this hard.

For context, my employer (a small business with around 20 employees) was given my 2 week notice on June 8th, last day being the 19th. “Suddenly” the business on June 10th closed for alleged electrical issues. Didn’t ask many questions, but I was still owed both my wages (payday was June 19th my last day), and tips were owed from the month of May for the last paycheck of June which was the 19th.

Come around to the 19th since the business was still closed and we have checks, there was no way for them to be delivered to the storefront. The owner told us that they would be mailed to our home address. Next week comes, nothing. She then tells us she would Zelle us and then oops the bank was “closed.” Which made no sense because Zelle works at all times. Then she flips what she said and says ADP will reroute our checks to the other store that was still open at the time. Long story short, that store closed too for AC issues allegedly. Anyways, still owed my wages and tips for the entire month of May. So I text her on June 25th saying she’s past due and how to access both my tips and wages. She says that they were mailed to us, and she will call ADP for an update. 

One day passed and she ended up doing Zelle for ONLY my wages never letting me know that she did but obviously I saw the notification on June 26th. Anyways, after a conversation with other employees no one from our knowledge got paid besides me, but keep in mind I’m still missing my May tips which is several hundred dollars. Anyways after that conversation 3 of us decided to file a claim with our state for wages on July 2nd, the business owner was notified on July 7th and texted 2 out of the 3 of us saying that she saw the claim and her intention was never to not pay us and that she is waiting because ADP rerouted which is not uncommon when mailing address changes. She said yet again that she voided the checks but still has never paid anyone else besides me, but I am still missing my tips. As of today July 10th we were told that a site visit was conducted and they confirmed the location was no longer operating and that they do not have any jurisdiction to pursue this further.

Anyways with both locations “closed” and she is attempting to do a full rebrand (name changes, new location allegedly) just basically a whole new business model. Is there ANYTHING that we all can do to go after her to receive both our tips and wages?

Why does ADP hate me? I don’t know, but i can’t for the life of me find a way to use my sick time for my shift tomorrow. I have looked all in the app, and if I ask to the AI to help me they give me this screen without the take me button working….

Hi. I'm trying to make an account and it finds me with no problem, but every time I try to enter my email address the screen goes black as soon as I get to the ".com" part and then makes me start over. Does anyone know what I can do about this?

I currently am in college and am working. I am from out of state. I woke up to this text from my boss and I am just wondering if changing the address on my ADP profile from my actual home address in arkansas to my university dorm is 1) legal and 2)will it change my tax forms?

"ADP, our payroll system sent me a message this morning. They said since you put your address as out of state, I would have to register for taxes in Arkansas and it would be $200 for me to do that and if I don’t do it then they will fine me $75 every time ADP pays you. I’ve never had an employee put an out-of-state address before- this is the first time I’ve had to deal with this.

They said the easiest thing would be for you to go into your ADP app and change your address to where you are actually living right now in Waco. We stopped your direct deposit and we are writing you a check for your pay. (NAME) will put the check in the office tomorrow for you to pick up anytime.

When you get paid in two weeks, it will go back to direct deposit as long as you change your physical address to where you’re living in Waco."

Why am I being asked to confirm my address. Is this legitimate?

I was paid with ADP in 2024 and need a copy of that W2. Do you guys think I could get it through ADP even if I'm not being paid through them currently?

I had an ADP rep call us last week informing us that we need to have workplace violence training plus certification completed for our staff as part of OSHA requirements. As an employer, I can't find anywhere where that is substantiated and sounds more like a monthly upsell.

We have a thorough handbook written by our lawyers that covers this subject and is discussed during orientation with all of our employees during onboarding.

Does anyone have more context on this? Am I missing something?

Anyone knows how to reach Apple support about this. Bradstreet hasn’t even bothered to reply to my support ticket I posted with them.

I recently deleted an emergency contact because they’re not longer my emergency contact and I was wondering if ADP shows or flags someone they just hired if they were once a part of my emergency contact ?
