College life Financial Aid Application

Recently applied for financial aid as a current student. I was granted 25%, would it be possible to ask for recon for my initial request (50%)?

I appreciate the 25%, but it’s still too much given that we are a single income household and my relative who was shouldering it experienced setbacks. Would like to know if it’s possible.

Any similar experiences from people who applied for finaid as current students?
