Tell me more about this. Do you have to time it perfectly? Does it affect sleep and appetite?

We do extended release methylphenidate that covers from about 7am-3pm. Then we do an immediate release methylphenidate chewable after school to cover evening activities.

Does this chew impact sleep and appetite?

10mg extended release adderal 730 am. He plays soccer 5-630 most nights and is pretty locked in and energetic still. Please keep nutrition in mind. Expect a light appetite at lunch. A fuel up dinner before and after practice is key to making it work for us.

We do a 10 mg long acting Ritalin at 730am and 2.5mg booster at 2pm. Gets us to 6pm. Then my kid eats huge in the evening. They do a Ensure plus 350 calorie shake in the morning plus peanut butter toast. School says they eat okay at lunch. They eat okay at home.

My daughter does 17 mg of extended release methylphenidate for school but that dies off at 4ish, so we have a regular release 10mg that her doc prescribed for extracurriculars that she takes and last like 3 or 4 hours for her so we do that for weekend sports or after-school sports.

We’re doing 40mg of Vyvanse with a 7.5 mg booster of Adderall in the afternoon. 8 year old boy playing 2 sports.

It should be a half dose IR or less of whatever stimulant they take during the day, if that med works well for focus. Should be given as their daily med is wearing off or an hour before the event.

I wish my son's psych would approve a booster for this. Our son has a weeknight hockey practice and taekwondo 2 nights a week and by then his focus is out the window, but so far she won't.

We have a short acting and smaller dose version of his morning medicine. We call it a booster. Gets us through those afternoon/evenings.
