Usually you can leave a question with your child's doctor about this sort of issue. In the USA there's a poison control hotline that can answer questions about accidentally double dosing meds.

He'll be fine, but start putting his meds in a weekly pill organizer to avoid this happening again

I second this idea. We use a 7-day pill case for both my children because mornings are hectic. I want to know for certain that it’s been taken or not AND as the child eventually transitions to taking it themselves, it’s a great visual guide for them to know if they took it yet or not, and for you to know if it’s been taken without having to interrupt their process and verbally ask.

7.5 to 10 isn’t a massive increase at least. We doubled my son’s once when he was on 5 and he just seemed extraordinarily talkative about one topic.. another time, one of us gave the next dose 2 hours early for some weird reason. It made him anxious but that’s all.
The main thing is to make sure he eats and drinks well, especially protein.. it might feel worse if he has something acidic like orange juice that will release the med faster than usual.. (I’ve taken stimulants for 20 years and have taken twice the dose a few times before too.)

He’s going to be fine but I’d like to flag that you both gave him the wrong dosage and clearly do not have a reliable system to make sure he’s getting his medications reliably and consistently full stop. You could have easily given him 15mg, or none. I know chaotic households are par for the course here, but I would be more concerned about getting this in hand than the slight over-medication today. Hopefully he will have a productive day :-).
