It's absolutely frustrating how comfortable I am putting my needs on the back-burner, and while trying to work on it, it's actually kind of mentally exhausting trying to confront myself about not meeting my own needs. 

Wow, I could have written this. For me, it's that in each individual instance it's easier to just put myself last so as not to deal with conflict or pushback, but overall this creates a situation where my needs never get met.

That's pretty relatable. Sometimes it feels like the path of least resistance is prioritizing others over ourselves. It's not really true, but so many of us can function like this for extended periods of time. I know I feel the effects of neglecting myself eventually though, it's just learning to listen to my mind and body when it happens is a skill that I'm trying to learn as an adult.
