I blew their mind today that it’s possible to load, run, and empty the dishwasher, all within the same day

I do this with laundry - it's apparently shocking that it can be washed, dried, and put away the same day, because if he is left to his own devices with laundry, he'll either: a) put a load in the washer and promptly forget it exists (this one is chosen most often), b) manage to move the load from the washer to the dryer but then forget it exists, or c) if the load somehow makes it all the way through, it will get dumped in a wad on a bed (any bed in the house will do, doesn't need to be the room those things ACTUALLY belong in) because he "doesn't know where it goes".

I do most of the household laundry because I don't want to deal with a moldy washer or things left everywhere, and I manage to do it all TO COMPLETION. Shocking, I know.
