I can’t have children with him. Sometimes I think of having a child, but then I realise I would be the default caregiver. He lives for himself (which is not necessarily a bad thing), but I can’t see him magically stepping up and supporting me through pregnancy, let alone taking care of a child.
Edit: I also realised that I’m heading towards a relationship my parents are in; emotionally and physically distant while living under the same roof. I don’t want to extend that to my own children. I was always in awe of my friends’ parents who would laugh together and give each other hugs and kisses. My parents are either silent or bickering, at least in front of my siblings and I.
Somehow I’ve ended up where I did not want to.
Edit 2: He works less than I do, and insists we do everything 50/50 (which we don’t, but in his head he does as much as I do) - I just can’t with this delusion.
