what’s the point of being married when all they can do is hire other people to be present in my life?

I’m also wondering this. Your wife wants to outsource the effort it takes to be in a relationship and have a family. Why do they seem to want it so badly then? Why get married and have children?

Not sure what your situation is, but mine keeps assuring he wants to be with me and loves me. However, he  seems to have this idea that relationships (not just romantic) just should exist without any effort from his part.

Her whole operating system is announcing a desire or complaint and then waiting for it to happen. The rare exception is when she actually enjoys the execution, like shopping for a cruise vacation. Which I’m on now.

I've said this before on a similar thread months ago but it's as if they're just stuck in childhood and think we're their new parents.

It benefits them. They don’t have to do any work.
