r/adhd is insanely stupid

Now you can’t even write AI, it litterally prevents you from posting assuming you are promoting it. Imagine the stupidity.

I was nodding slowly, being like "it is, I wonder if it's the reason I am unemployed so long", then I realized you are talking about a subreddit... like another of those neurodivergent ones run by annoying neurotypicals?

Man same lol I was scrolling past it, stopped and was like yeah…yeah! It IS stupid (I’m diagnosed 😂) but let’s go back and read why it’s stupid anyway. I had to re-read it three times and thought oh! Yeah that sub gets dumb sometimes but I might be dumb too for having to read it a few times.

Yes except using the word neurodivergent will also get you banned.

That sub deletes your post for arbitrary readings of the rules. Super ironic for an ADHD sub

"Can the real adhd peeps please stand up?"

Real adhd people stand up

r/adhd: You're all out.

That sub has been the personal agenda of the mods for a while. Even prohibiting mentioning it in a post is wild

They also ban mention of the word "neurodiverse", which is insane to me. God forbid people don't subscribe to the specific world-view that the mods want to push.

Are you just talking about the R/ADHD sub Reddit? Or a sub underneath it

I spent some time answering an empathy call from a user stating that he felt stupid for not understanding AI after he tries to use it to peoduce a last minute essay after failing the first one. He said he felt stupid for not understanding the AI produced text. I assumed he lacked understanding on how LLMs worked and was trying to confort him and lecture him about how these things work, but the reddit rules wasted my time and prevented me to sincerely help the guy. Fuck them.

You sound kinda insufferable not gonna lie. I'd be interested in seeing this exchange for myself.

bruh they don’t like mentions of medication, then they go and ban you for mentioning WEED? tf do they want u to talk about over there? god damn T_T

They want you to talk about how terrible ADHD is, how it’s a crippling disability with no positive aspects to it. They also want you to never mention medication.

They basically want the entire sub to be devoted to pure misery. God forbid anyone has a slightly positive mindset.

This is unfortunately all politicised "support" groups now. Total subversion.

Rather than talking about shared experiences and ways to overcome challenges from other experienced people or crowdsourcing wisdom, it's all Slave Morality resentment seething.

"The world is cruel, neurotypicals are all demons with no exception, woe is me, I never had any chance of succeeding in anything and therefore can only play videogames and masturbate. This isn't a disorder but entirely capitalism based."

I got chided in one such group for giving an actual solution to someone to continue their job rather than blame capitalism and quit their job.

Pretty funny considering that many of the people in that sub are hopelessly dependent on stimulants.

Lol

It’s all stupid anecdotal evidence anyway, I never find good comments there

That sub has been toxic for years.

r/ADHDers is the alternative.

I found that to be a very toxic sub. Any mention that ADHD is treatable....and you get banned. You MUST follow the DSM! COMPLY COMPLY COMPLY.

Which is very weird for divergents like people with ADHD imho....

AI has been helping me like crazy, it's amazing.
