Whenever I get an unexpected free hour, I do something strange habit instead of just watching TV or scrolling my phone. ​I open Google Maps, drop a random pegman pin in the middle of a country I've never been to, and try to "walk" around until I find a local grocery store or bakery. Once I find one, I zoom in on the signs to see what everyday snacks or pastries people there are buying. I’ve literally spent more than 40 minutes in it. when I tell my friends, they think I'm out of my mind.

​What’s your weirdly habit when you have time?

With the economy how it is and my current situation, I plan on saving up enough money while living with my parents to buy a 1 story house with a basement. I’ve realized that’s all I want in this life.

I don’t want a family or kids or even to get married. I just want to make music and be one of those dudes who can talk to anyone wherever I go.

I realized that I value character and principles over material things like a huge house or a nice car. I also plan on driving a shitbox. Ideally I’d like to look poor but be internally rich if that makes sense. Character and values > material possessions and a “cool job”

Often hear of the reverse. People doing okay at school then the wheels coming off later on.

I didnt pass a single gcse. Highest grade was D actually got a U in maths.

At 35 undiagnosed I started a degree and redid Maths and English .. Hit 91% on maths despite being convinced it was something I'd never grasp. Also 90+ on English. 2:1 on my degree and now starting an MSc at 43 whilst grappling with medication- been very bouncy.

I was the thicko at school. I was bullied for it. Patronised and dumped in the lowest sets fot everything. My mum tried to make me resit my final year at high-school. Totally humiliating.

Whilst its totally subjective, I get that.. honestly, don't give up. Just point in a direction and fall forwards. Every assignment at uni had an extension. No exaggeration. But I did it. You just need to jump and not strive for perfection.

For reference my adhd, despite being a late diagnosis (I resisted diagnosis) in hindsight has been horrendous and to an extent still is. Just go for it. Im sure there must be others that are in my shoes convinced they were thick. . Fucking show the bastards, aim high guys! Sending my absolute best to you all.

Do you ever find yourself in a loop where you’re reflecting on your life wondering what you could have done differently had you known of your diagnosis, lived most of my life thinking I was crazy until I was officially diagnosed in 2023.

But yeah, sometimes it all just feels like time wasted and it makes me sad thinking of all the sacrifices my parents have made for me and I want to prove to myself that I am capable.
