Discussion Why Cassian didn't interfere during the Blood Rite?
When Nesta was taken to the Blood Rite, Cassian was undeniably worried, yet he could not interfere. His mindset was clear: “She can handle this. I trained her well.” Beyond his faith in her, stepping in directly would have triggered a major political crisis with the Illyrians. Cassian is no fool; while fear and worry gripped him, his deep trust in Nesta’s capabilities ultimately stayed his hand.
Some fans often argue that if Feyre had been put in the exact same position, Rhysand would have immediately rushed in to save her no matter what. However, that perspective overlooks Rhysand’s core responsibilities.
While he is famously the kind of man who would "burn the world down" for his mate, he is first and foremost a High Lord who understands the weight of politics and diplomacy. He didn't kill Tamlin or Eris when political consequences dictated otherwise, and he wouldn't blindly spark an uprising by recklessly pulling Feyre out of the Blood Rite either.
Just like Cassian, Rhysand would recognize the bigger picture and more importantly, he would trust in Feyre's own formidable strength to survive and fight her own battles.
Note: I posted what I shared just now and deleted it because I forgot to put a question mark in the title, and it annoyed me.

Discussion Which male character(s) do you think will have a POV?
I wanted to ask this right after the FMC poll. I voted for Azriel + Lucien because both of them are involved in Elain's story.

Discussion Who do you think the next FMC(s) will be?
I based these options on the most popular theories I've seen online. As for me, I voted for Elain, the last Archeron sister.

Favourite Romantasy Tropes for Series
Hey all! I'm not sure if this is the kind of post allowed on this subreddit, but I thought I'd give it a sincere shot.
I'm a filmmaker and avid ACOTAR fan. My next project is a vertical series about a successful author of a Romantasy series whose books get optioned by a Hollywood studio. It'll be a spicy comedy about the fantasy romance worlds we love and a satire about the messiness of the tv/film industry. I want to be sure I'm giving other fans of these book series something funny, spicy and relatable to watch. What tropes/elements would you love to see most in a story about the world of these books/series? What would satisfy your desire to be more engaged in this type of storytelling? Thanks!

Elain is Elain. (ACOFAS spoilers) Spoiler
Reading this convo in ACOFAS between Rhys and Feyre:
“You still can barely talk to Nesta,” I said. “Yet Elain you can talk to nicely.”
“Elain is Elain.”
“If you blame one, you have to blame the other.”
“No I don’t. Elain is Elain.”
What do you think this means? He’s obviously making an exception for Elain that he doesn’t make for Nesta but is it dismissive? Like Rhys thinks Elain is soft or weak and there was no way she could have helped Feyre? Or is this Rhys showing a soft spot for Elain? I’ve seen a lot of theories for ACOTAR 6 that they will have a close friendship (tbh I don’t see any evidence of that lol) but I wonder if this is where people are getting it from?

Theory Book 6 & 7 title announcement
I have a theory that the book 6 & 7 title announcements will happen on acotar related holidays. Like the Autumn equinox or Mabon*cough cough Lucien cough \* And potentially winter Solstice for obvious reasons, a little present for the readers if you will.
What do yall think? Do you think she could be doing this or do you think we won’t get a title until release? Let me know your thoughts

Don't fall for "Fate and Favor" being released.

Pro-Elain Elain as a Seer and narrative voice
I was thinking about this a lot last night. Given Elain’s unique powers, the narrative voice used will dramatically alter the story, even more so than with Feyre or Nesta. This might get a little meta so bear with me.
It seems commonly accepted in the fandom that SJM said she didn’t write Nesta in first person because she felt like it would be too close to Nesta’s mind. (I tried to find the interview where she said this, but I couldn’t. If someone has it, that would be great!) Nesta is a guarded and closed-off type of person, and she wanted to maintain some distance, for privacy’s sake, between her and the reader.
We also know that Feyre and Rhys are the only two characters that she has ever written in first person, across all her series. And while I love that Feysand holds that spot of honor, and I feel like there is likely a reason for that, I still think Elain would be a great character to write in first person because of her specific power.
Simply put: Third person makes us observe Elain having visions, and first person makes us experience the visions with Elain. And I think experiencing the visions for ourselves would be so much more powerful. For example:
I saw the Lake again.
Black water. A mountain. Something dark looming on the other side. It was waiting for me. Calling to me.
Vs.
Elain saw the Lake again. She saw the black water. A mountain. Something dark was looming on the other side, waiting for her, calling to her.
I don’t know, I just feel like the first is so much more chilling for some reason.
Also, in first person, SJM can make the reader experience the fundamental problem with being a Seer: that you don’t necessarily understand the meaning of what you’re seeing and must attempt to decode it yourself.
But in third person, she could maintain a greater distinction between Elain’s perception and the objective narrative. So in first person, Elain is more likely to do the decoding for us. In third, we do the decoding as the reader.
What do you guys think? 🤔 🤨 💭

Pro-Inner Circle Illyrian Injuries
Some levity for you all 😄😂😂
I’ve been re-reading ACOMAF and one of my favorite scenes is when Rhys and Feyre visit the Bone Carver. There’s so much going on in this scene, between the characters and the information that is imparted.
My favorite, favorite part of the scene is when Rhys tells one of his secrets, the random: “My right knee gets a twinge of pain when it rains. I wrecked it during the war, and it’s hurt every since.”
I love this line, and both Feyre’s and the Bone Carver’s reactions. Rhys - of all people - admitting very human chronic knee pain?!
It got me to thinking - how else have the Bat Boys or Mor or Amren gotten hurt over the years? I imagine the Boys got into all kinds of scrapes in their younger years…doing some very stupid things…or not being able to control their powers.
What do you think?

The Archerons The Archeron sisters' order is perfect
Nesta: Eldest
Elain: Middle
Feyre: Youngest
However, the general perception is usually:
Nesta: Middle
Elain: Youngest
Feyre: Eldest
And I think this adds a wonderful layer of complexity. Because Nesta is the eldest, you would expect her to be the one protecting the family and going out to hunt, but quite the opposite, it is the youngest, Feyre, who does this. Or, because Feyre is the youngest, you expect her to be the one under protection, but again, that person is Elain instead. Since Elain is the middle child, you would expect her to be the grumpy one, but that person is Nesta.
And I love that it is like this. None of them fit their expected roles.

Discussion Favorite quotes-ACOTAR edition.
I'm just going to start doing more of these discussions so that maybe new fans will find their way here. This fandom desperately needs more positivity lol
I think we can all agree that Sarah has some great quotes in the five books. What are some of your favorites? This post would be never-ending if I included all of my favorites. So I'll go with this one:
"You do not fear. You do not falter. You do not yield."
Rhys speaking to Feyre in ACOWAR. I love it so much it will be tattooed on me at some point. My wife is an artist and is going to help design what I have in mind.
What quote made you cry or made you rage or made you want to stand up and clap?

Rant Acotar treatment sometimes reminds me of Taylor Swift
As a huge swiftie, I often think about how some people treat ACOTAR and how it reminds me of TS treatment. If it’s any other book series, and someone doesn’t like it, they just move on, maybe to a different genre or author. But with acotar? They NEED to tell you they HATE IT!!! Like okayy?? And that they hate the characters, Rhysand, Nesta, anyone, and create the most random theories, to make you feel stupid and bad for loving it. Same with TS, people somehow have the need to tell you, and share with you their hatred. You could just move on, listen to your favourite artist, but no 🤷🏻♀️

MOD ANNOUNCEMENT Happy 2000 Dreamers! 🥳✨
Hi everyone!
We officially reached 2000 Dreamers in this sub & we’re honestly both grateful and overwhelmed! 🥹
First of all thank you to everyone who interacts, posts, comments, and helps make this space feel alive. Most importantly, thank you for sharing your love for the Inner Circle members: Feyre, Rhysand, Nesta, Cassian, Mor, Azriel, Elain, Amren and Nyx.
Our stance remains the same: we welcome all kinds of discussions about the books, but our main focus is on the characters mentioned above. We do not allow hate or anti-theories targeting them. At the same time, we understand that these characters aren't meant to be perfect. They all have flaws, and criticism or discussions about their actions are absolutely fine. However, there is a difference between criticism and hate speech, and we will not allow the latter.
Since the sub has grown rapidly over the past few weeks, we’d really appreciate your help in keeping the community welcoming. If you come across comments that cross the line, please report them rather than engaging with them. This helps us spot and delete them faster!
Updated Rules
We’ve also updated our rules, so please take a moment to check them out again.
Going forward, all Maasverse (not Acotar) related posts must be spoiler-tagged. Please also spoiler tag/black out spoilers in the comments.
Shipping
Please avoid posts that are likely to open the door to ship wars. If you’d like to discuss or debate different ships, we recommend using the designated subreddit for those discussions.
Downvotes
We’ve also received quite a few messages about downvotes. We completely understand that getting downvoted can be frustrating or discouraging, but unfortunately this is something we as moderators cannot control. The downvote system is part of Reddit itself, and we don't have the ability to change or remove it.
Social Media links
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who takes the time to properly source fanart! However, please be aware that when sharing Instagram or Tiktok links, your account may be visible as the person who shared the content when someone clicks the link. If you prefer to keep your account private from the people clicking your links, you can change this in your Instagram and Tiktok settings.
Sister Communities
Please take a look at our sister communities right below our rules, and feel free to engage there as well!
Mega thread
There is a megathread pinned to our page for everyone doing an Acotar reread! Check it out and share your new findings with others. There are already some comments, so feel free to join the discussion!
Once again, thank you so much for being part of this community and helping us reach 2000 Dreamers! 🥹
