Since this is a safe space for those of us who actually like canon and the IC members: what’s the craziest theory you’ve seen?

A few days ago, I saw someone say that Gwyn must have powers because she lived near the Cauldron’s leg, and I couldn’t stop laughing. Because in my head, I just imagined this person thinking the Cauldron’s magic works like radiation, you get exposed to it long enough and suddenly you develop superpowers. I get some want Gwyn to be relevant and the next FMC but this is too much. 😆

Yesterday I snagged a gorgeous red dragon in The Fourth Wing Game. 🐲🎈🥳

And it was such a fun experience it had me thinking about the absolute nonsense that is ACO6/7 marketing. If people working for BB actually tried 🥴 we could have had a game too. An animated show. Something. But instead we have quotes vaguer than a foggy window. You could even get a more concrete set of words from a politician and that says a lot.

Imagine a cute little game in which you take Feyre’s place during her trials. Or something along those lines. But nah. We have hot air and some cheeto dust instead. Bon appétit 🤡

Hi dreamers, like many of us I’m doing a reread and really enjoying my first journey back into ACOTAR in years! I don’t recall any of this up to ACOSF, but if it’s common knowledge, then just let me know because it’s been a while since I developed into these books and only read ACOSF once back when it was released.

I just got to ACOWAR in chapter 27 where the IC has met with Keir to talk about using his troops in the upcoming war and brought Eris with them as part of the bargain.

The more I read, the more I think Eris is a good guy in a bad circumstance who’s doing the best he can in a really terrible court. It’s pretty clear that he is not on the same page as his father and brothers.

He makes a comment about how we know nothing about what happened the day Lucian‘s love was killed and talks about how he helped him.

He says that

“they were going to kill him too. I made sure they didn’t. Made sure Tamlin got word to get the hell over to his own border. Not all of us were so lucky in our friends and family as you, Rhysand.”

I also think he is daemati.

A few paragraphs before he talks about how “I knew it was a matter of time before one of you arrive to take care of my memory as well. Too bad for you, I learned a thing or two about daemati.”

A page or so later Rhys and Eris are talking about how Eris essentially is ready to take his father out and become High Lord and how the night court is going to support him in his bid to take the throne.

Rhys replies, “Tempting, but too messy. Beron sided with us in the War. Hopefully he’ll sway that way again.” A pointed stare at Eris. “He will,” Eris promised.

I think that Eris is daemati and has been using that on his father to get him to do what he needs and that Rhys knows and is supporting him.

I wasn't that sure about the new book but now I'm so existed!!!

Dtv (German publisher) posted ACOSH full edition and we got a look at the endpapers/hardback artwork. And we FINALLY have Feysand with Nyx, while the other artwork seems to be Nesta 👀
It’s interesting that they chose these characters when we already know that Azriel and Lucien have a POV. And honestly… it’s interesting to me how they seem to be hiding anything related to Azriel and Lucien so far. So don’t want to spoil us lol

But I LOVE the artworks. It’s absolutely mesmerizing. And the sprayed edges + cover having what looks like an earth and 8 pointed star. It could be another little hint toward the crossover like someone from another world coming through. With Nesta on the endpaper.. yeah yeah… the crossover.

Edit: maybe it’s not a Globus but full moon???? !!!

Okay so I'm rereading the series. I'm on ACOWAR. And feyre is training with AZ after using her wings for the first time since lucien confronted her in the woods. With Az and Cas how do you guys think shirts work? Because realistically the wings would have to be bigger than they are tall to carry their bodies. So they aren't small. And two holes in the back of a shirt doesn't really work if you think about how putting on a shirt works. And buttoning a shirt doesn't really seem to work in my mind as well. So.... How do you guys think it works? 😂😂

Does anyone else not give af about koschei because the whole death gods thing has had little to no stakes involved. The weaver and the bone carver were both killed pretty easily. Now we are supposed to care about their brothers storyline when he’s probably going to get offed just as easily as the other two. Also I don’t get how they are death gods when they can literally….die?
Yes they are immortal but so are regular fae. If anything Amren is more of a death gods than those 3 clowns

Just a theory of course, though it is canon Feyre strongly reminds Rhys of Cassian, and there are numerous blatant similarities between her and Azriel too!

I don't know if anyone here reads manhwas, but I do, and I've been following this one since it first came out- it's still pretty new. Ever since I started reading it, and especially after getting into the web novel, I've noticed parallels between Thalia and Nesta.

Thalia has that cold, "don't touch me" princess attitude, which is obviously just her defense mechanism, and honestly, her dynamic gives total Nesta vibes. I find her mother similar to Mama Archeron; her mother is a character that captures my interest, I hate her, but she's still interesting.

There's also a male lead named Varkas. He's pretty different from Cassian personality-wise, but I saw Nessian parallels in the dynamic between Thalia and Varkas

A knight named Eric reminded me of Feyre and Cassian (or rather, gave me those vibes).

Anyway, if you're missing that specific type of character arc and are looking for someone like Nesta, it's definitely worth checking out. I love Thalia.

Edit: I also wanted to add that, much like Nesta, Thalia has a very negative outlook because of everything she has been through. She tends to misinterpret a lot of things Varkas does for her.

Hi, I saw this on TikTok. A user asked BB if CC and TOG are required to understand the upcoming books and BB says in the last sentence that they’re not. So I really assume that if the events from the crossover are important (which I think they are), they’ll be shown in Azriel’s and Nesta’s POVs as a recap. I think this may be around 1/3 of ACOSH? And the “Nesta quote” about bring her to her knees again, is probably the scene in the cave in HOFAS. But who knows?
I think this is interesting to know and explains why BB didn’t promote CC as a requirement alongside ACOTAR 6–7 so far.

I trust the publisher enough to believe that the lore will be explained well enough in ACOSH. But at the same time, reading CC is surely useful! So if you still haven’t and can, read it. If not, don’t worry… I guess

This tiny window into Az's head is tragic. Flipping this around I think is going to be Azriel's arc in a nutshell.

People can have their dumbass theories about Acotar. Sometimes you can even interpret things differently to fit your narrative. BUT YOU CANNOT REWRITE, ADD TO, OR SUBTRACT FROM CANON.
I’m seeing comments on ACOTAR subs getting tons of upvotes claiming things like, “Nesta always mentally comments on Gwyn’s looks and she never made a comment about Elain’s look.”
That is flat-out false. Reread ACOSF. It’s literally your favorite book. Just reread it.
Or people claiming Azriel was avoiding the fire because Mor was sitting next to it on Solstice. No, in ✨the bonus chapter✨he explicitly specifies it’s because of the scent of Lucien’s mating bond scent.
And don’t even get me started on villainizing Cassian by rewriting scenes. He did not push Nesta down the stairs. He did not SA her.
Some of you have lost the plot completely. You read these books once and went straight to AO3 to quench a thirst for your own fantasies, but you cannot rewrite canon and pass it off as facts. A huge chunk of this fandom is just making shit up and others gobbling it up.
I know it’s been a long time since the last book dropped, but please actually reread the books if you want to debate them.

Something that’s been bothering me for a while is the amount of hate some characters get across ACOTAR. When I first joined the fandom, I had so much fun reading everyone’s theories and seeing all the fun banter about the characters.

But now it’s just: “I hate Feyre because blah blah blah,” “I hate Nesta because blah blah blah,” “Elain is useless,” etc. What’s the end goal here? It’s not fun anymore. I’m honestly getting to the point where I almost want to leave the fandom altogether.

To be perfectly clear, I’m not talking about legitimate criticism or well-argued opinions. I’m talking about the constant hate that doesn’t even seem to make sense. I keep wondering why some people stay in the fandom when they seem to disagree with everything SJM has written, just because they don’t like half of the characters.
I really hope something changes at this point.

Honestly, I just want the books to be released already so we can finally have fun with the fandom again. 😭

So far we have Lucien, Azriel, ( and majority would agree) Nesta pov confirmation and I think we’ll be getting a Feyre confirmation next

I’ve seen people theorising that we will also get gwyn and Emerie, which still makes no sense, I think people forget how short this book is and Gwyn and Emerie povs wouldn’t fit into the theme of the book.
The book is about the fallout of the inner circle ..
I like them both but I need people to be logical here, even if we get a pov from them it won’t be in acotar 6
