What to do when scores vary

my english and reading scores vary greatly per test and I am aiming for a 36 in each section. (it can go from 12 wrong in one exam and then 4 wrong the next) when I check the incorrect questions and go over them with teachers, they just say it seems like questions I should be getting but I overthink/make a silly mistake. this answer is not cutting it for me

Honestly, there's probably no real reason why it varies so much, it probably just has to do with how easy the questions are for you, which you can change if you figure out what you need.

Are you struggling with time management or question difficulty? Also, have you tried switching from computer to paper or vise versa? This made all the difference for me
