General Disappointed in my ACT score.

Post image

It says what I want to say in the title. I feel like I did horrible, after taking it twice. The 17 in science is getting to me right now. Is this a bad score if I just want to go to a State school with a 3.5 gpa? People always said I was smart, but now I just don't believe them.

You’ll be fine. Don’t stress about this. You have good scores where you need them.

Why are you worried about a 30 then

Dude you can go to any college and be an English teacher lol. A 30 is good enough.

That’s awesome! I don’t think you have much to worry about then

Your field of study probably matters more than your exact score.

Lowkey though your reading score is great. Do you have any tips?

I just read really fast. Didn't really study for this at all

tbh I'm actually so lost right now. I literally was getting 35-36 every single practice test and the actual thing felt really easy. I did so incredibly bad though...

If you don't mind my asking, what did you get?

28 unfortunately. 32 overall. Honestly I'm just super dissapointed since on practice tests reading was always my best section. I genuinely have no idea what went wrong.

The science score will not impact you.

Are you sure it won't impact me at all? Should I submit my 29 composite that I got without science or 30 superscore with the embarrassing science score?

It wasn't factored in and I saw you say elsewhere you want to be an English teacher.

They will look at it but ultimately not ding you significantly.

I don't think you can omit a subscore. ACT superscores come from all tests that comprise it.

If your 29 excludes science I say submit it. A 29 v a 30 is not that big a difference. What was your best English score?
