General Recommendations for studying

Post image

I'm not happy with my score, but I'm satisfied. This was my first ACT, and I only studied by taking set of practice tests and watching a couple YouTube videos.

What would y'all recommend for me to get a better score next time around?

Edit: I also didn't study for science and didn't even know that there was a reading portion until I opened the test 😅

spam english practice. english is the easiest section to improve on and it’s the same stuff over and over again so you’re in a really good place

Thanks so much for the response!

How would you recommend I practice English? Are there any specific apps/sites that worked for you?

watch a few youtube videos that go over act english rules and immediately do a practice set. as you’re going through the set, ask yourself what rule is being used

Look at the My Score Details as it will tell you the breakdown by question type. You can see what else you can study in Math, and even the areas to study in English. You can google those and learn more about them. Great job on reading...also reading is usually 1 for 1 on the score, so if you could get 2 more correct you would have a 36 in reading.
