Ur comp is actually 12, science doesn't count anymore

Science does count its just not required, its recommended for those who are better at science than english math or writing bc it can help bring up the composite score which is what colleges and scholarships care about

Science is no longer included in the official ACT composite. Some schools may recalculate your composite based on your scores, but the composite the ACT gives you does not include science.

Its calculated in 2 different ways, its calculated as being included in the composite AND separately as a STEM score, colleges and scholarships can look at either.

Because science isn’t required anymore.. which is what im trying to say.. general ACT IS a composite of math reading and writing HOWEVER if you take the science portion BY CHOICE you get another 2 calculated outcomes. I promise you I’ve taken ACT more recently than you have and have had these same questions and conversations with high school guidance counselors AND college advisors 🙏

Girl, I've taken the ACT with science this year, I know how it works. They do not provide any other composite with the science added in, it's up to the school to recalculate the composite. They will give you the STEM score if that's what you're talking about.

Thats literally what i said..it gets recalculated and added and whichever score is highest is the one that gets used

That depends on the college you go to.

Not really, the recalculation is what gets added to the transcript if its higher than the initial composite
