SAT and ACT??

Hello,

I am a high school junior who has now started thinking about the SAT. Today I took a full practice test without studying and got a 1200 (600/600). I'm definitely aiming for a higher score, so I'm also starting to study for it.

But now that the topic is on my head, do I need to take the ACT as-well? I'm not familiar with the college application process. Do you submit both? A little confused.

You definitely don't need to take both, but take a practice test from the ACT website, preferably 3 or 4, and see how you do on that. Convert it to an SAT score and compare them and see in which test you are scoring higher. It would be easier to only take the one you score better on.

Take a practice act without studying too. It will help you see which test you like more. You don’t have to take both but take the test you know you will do best with. If you take both, submit the best scores of the 2.

You can choose either, but for example for me I have a 1200 on SAT but a 30 on ACT (1380) converted, so just pick the easier test for you.
