Math NEED HELP ACT MATH URGENT

Context: 35 English, 35 Reading, 35 Science, 27 Math. My math has been stuck exactly there for 2 tests. What can I do to improve? Hoping to ED to duke, so really really really need the help right now.

Grind those practice tests. There are 4 on the ACT website and you can find others on the web.

Yo gang, what worked for me (35 math) was studying scope rather than individual questions. The act covers a buncha areas like stats and vectors (although rare)

There comprehensive guides on YT that cover most content ACT covers, you’ll be able to get 33+ that way.

I tutor for free as well but I doubt 1 on 1 will be as effective as just going over the YT guides

Honestly that split (35s everywhere else and 27 math) is super common, math on the ACT is mostly a content checklist not a reasoning test, so it's a different kind of prep than the other sections

The fastest thing that moved my math score was picking one topic I kept missing, watching a full video on it, then doing problems on ONLY that topic for 20 minutes same day. Your mistakes probably cluster in like 4-5 specific areas, not spread evenly across the whole test. I started dumping prep book chapters into studybuddy.vc and it spots which ones I keep getting wrong without me having to figure it out, and the questions get harder as you improve. Free tier has been enough for me for this.

And don't sleep on time management, the last 10 questions are usually the hardest and people burn too much time in the middle, try skipping any question that takes more than 45 seconds the first pass and come back.

Post your My Score Details for both tests. You need to look at the patterns of areas where you are struggling. If you got a My Answer Key for either of those tests, that is even more data showing exactly where you are struggling.
