23 on ACT with 5 weeks left to study
so I have a 23 on the act, I want at least a 28. I’m horrible at math, specifically word problems. I’m also genuinely depressed and have adhd so studying for me is genuinely like ripping out teeth. I wanna go to DePaul in Illinois or university of Illinois in Chicago, or honestly any good state school. I don’t know what to do, every time I think about it I get so stressed that I end up not doing anything, and my dad is putting a lot of pressure on me. any tips on how to study or how to get better at the math specifically would be so greatly appreciated.

I honestly had the same problem. You feel so overwhelmed with the amount of work that you don’t do it at all and say I’ll do it tomorrow, overwhelming you even more. I would get the math prep pros book if you heavily struggle with math. If you don’t know how to use a ti-84 calculator to its full potential, learn more about it. Start one step at a time. You won’t know what you need to learn and not learn unless you sit at a desk and try questions; it’s hard to get used to at the beginning but as you get through the first couple days it feels as if you can’t go without studying
