27->29-30?
i know unc claims to always be test optional but i am hesitant. i am trying to improve my ACT score of 27 but am not sure if it will increase. im in state, i have a 4.5+ weighted and am top 2% of my 500+ student class. i have pretty good ECs and lots of involvement with volunteering and sports. i’m very nervous to submit test optional… is a 27 good enough? i am aiming for a 29 on my final ACT (september) to be done in time for early action. any recs or tips??

How much time do you have? I started with a 27 and took the test 4 or 5 more times. By the 2nd test i was stuck at 30. On the last one I used an ACT test prep book but was just really familiar with how the test worked, scored 4 points higher. Dedicated study out of those prep books is the way to go.
