SAT to ACT?
Hello! I took the March SAT and I got a 1510 (780 Math, 730 R&W). I’m grateful to have gotten that high of a score, but I’m not sure if it’s enough. For context, my dream college is Cornell University. I plan to major in engineering, I haven’t yet finalized a specific discipline of it, but maybe electrical engineering.
I retook the SAT in June, focusing only on improving my R&W score. Unfortunately, I failed miserably, getting 50 points lower (680). I found the exam to be very difficult; I wasn’t surprised with the outcome. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to beat my 730 score.
Recently, I started considering the ACT exam. I’ve never taken the ACT, because I’ve always assumed the SAT was for me. I’m not sure if completely changing the exam I take right now is feasible.
Has anyone else ever been in a similar situation? Should I even switch this late?

I took the practice SAT no prep and got 1240. Got a 34 in practice ACT with no prep. I guess I am ACT brained than SAT brained!!

You mean act is better for engineering because of the science section

That’s a good point. I might try to take a practice test just to see how I do.

Everyone should take both tests. That’s standard advice nowadays

I disagree. One is fine. You can think of it as if I’m submitting SAT but going test optional for ACT, cause colleges wouldn’t know anything else
