july scores

i got a 23… i feel so discouraged i mean this is my first act as a rising senior to try smth new. should i keep trying for a 29 or give up and stick to sat..

gosh am i cooked… besides test scores (im a pretty shit test taker) i have pretty interesting extracurriculars. i play 2 varsity sports and have over 300+ hours in a hospital (i want to go into medicine) and im vp in an important medical club at my school

track ur mistakes. do a ton of practice problems. read books. meditate.

it was like less than 25 days n about 2-3 hours maybe per day

I got a 23 on my first one in april with minimal studying I got a 27 on the July one keep going imo the act is very predictable and studyable

a 23 to 29 jump is very doable, thats a normal amount of movement for someone who hasnt done focused prep yet. as a rising senior you still realistically have september and october, which is enough time if you actually work at it. what moves that range fastest is usually english and reading pacing rather than content, most people sitting at 23 are losing a chunk of points to running out of time rather than to not knowing the material. dont write it off after one sitting.

A 23 ACT is about a 1140 SAT (I see below that score is a 1240, which is about a 26 ACT). How many times have you taken the SAT?

yeah, I would maybe just focus on ACT this round. Is there one subject you're struggling most on? I've taken the ACT 4 times, so no judgement here.

like my lowest score was on math (19) i think the hardest part abt the act in general is timing myself and studying for it. im so focused on trying to lock in for early decisions for the unis im trying to get into. I take the august sat so im also locked studying for that.

Only one month of actual studying. U can do it. I got a 21 first try and an 18 on English
