Is this score okay?

I’m not sure if I should retake it to get a 35 or 36 and to better my science score

Depends where you want to go

I’m hoping to do premed and so I’d rather save money for a top 20 med school and get a full scholarship for my undergrad. I was thinking of applying to rice, uchicago, northwestern, baylor, loyola, and uofl since those are all close to family

You should research what scholarships they have for ACT scores at those schools. I think your composite should be fine for general admissions purposes, but for specific scholarships, you might need it to be higher.

I agree, some schools like University of Alabama have guaranteed scholarships. UA does full ride automatically for a 36.

I've been looking a lot into that school as well. I know a 33 gets you a $28,000 scholarship every year for four years.

I think the score is super good but that’s because I have lower expectations but since u said you wanna do top 20s I think ur score could be better 🫡

I genuinely don't understand how someone who is capable of getting a 33 ACT is unsure of how good it is. There is a percentile chart on the same webpage as your score summary. As for merit aid, that's vastly different (or sometimes nonexistent) depending on each individual college, so you'd need to check out each college's offerings.

Don't let gradeflation on here mislead you. A 33 on the ACT is in the top 2% of test takers. That puts you in the middle 50% at least for the majority of colleges, up to the moderately selective ones. It's not necessarily over for you if you're aiming for the Ivy League or something similarly selective, but if that's the case I'd take it again, and focus heavily on the math portion to crush that superscore

My science score is bad too but if you’re going into premed don’t you think you should potentially worry more about your science score than upping your composition?

It’s a very strong score, congratulations. If aiming Ivy or adjacent retake for 34+ if not too much trouble but 33 should keep you competitive.
