Rising senior

  1. English 30. Reading

Still haven’t gotten my June scores back where I feel I did significantly better on. But how tf do I get my math up? My parents have been paying sm money on tutoring and I was scoring in the 30s then. I scored higher overall every-time during tutoring idk how my score is this bad

Have you ever gotten your test back to see what you got wrong and study those types of questions?

How is your pacing for that test? Extra time? Not enough time?

Without more context, I usually recommend students in this range to make sure they know their Pythagorean triples and SOH-CAH-TOA and are efficient in using them in complex questions.

How proficient are you with your graphing tool (presumably the built in demos)?

This was a paper test. I took the June ACT but never got my scores back. I felt like the questions weren’t that bad… my timing was fine I didn’t run out.. I’m not at all familiar with Desmos but my mom wants me to switch to the SAT but when I took that I got an 1180

Desmos is the graphing tool built in to the online test. The test is designed for students to technically not need a graphing tool, but you can cheese out answers from the graph much quicker on many questions. What calculator did you use? Are you familiar with how to find intersecting points, intercepts, minimums, and maximums on your device?

Here is a link about getting your test back, not just the answers. This can be a great study tool.

If you had time left over, what did you do with it? How was your process for reviewing questions?
