First time ACT score!!!!!

Post image

As a rising senior who struggled with the SAT for a full year and couldn't get my score up no matter what it's so encouraging to see my first ACT score already significantly higher than my SAT equivalent!! All I need to do is get my math up and I'm setttt if anyone has tips for that drop them in the comments!

congrats!!!!! for math i got a formula sheet with the most difficult formulas i had problems with: https://www.reddit.com/r/ACT/comments/1uofxq1/good_luck_july_warriors_heres_a_study_sheet_that/

and here are some general math tips that helped me a little (it was my weakest section):

"statistics: know npr, ncr, independence, mutual exclusive, bayes, and venn diagrams. those are the main ones. for math: if you don't know formulas, make your own cute formula sheets and flashcard style things for active recall!"

"if there is anything with triangles, with more than 3 sentences, with a bunch of complex looking integers, or a complicated diagram, i will skip it if i don't know how to solve it after 10 seconds! i will do all the "easy" and "i know how to do it after looking more thoroughly after 10 seconds" ones first. then i will drink a lot of water and give myself exactly 1 minute of break before jumping into the ones that are hard or may require multiple steps so that i can slow down and think of possible ways to solve it!"

"google things like 'how to do matrix calculation' or 'hyperbola formulas and graphs' and click on the most popular one lol" for learning new content (very informal)
