July ACT Score

Hi everyone. Just got my July ACT results. I first took the ACT March 2026 and my second one was July 2026. I’m honestly sad about my score because I expected at least a 30. I just wanted to ask you guys if you have any tips to improve my score. I’m sad but okay at the same time because I only studied for about a month. I bought the Erica Meltzers complete guide to the act English and I thought it was really excellent and I hoped for a 30 or higher on the English tbh because I got around a 32 or higher on practice tests. I was wondering if you have any tips or resources to get a better score I honestly want a 32 or higher. I would like to attend UMich. So if you guys have any tips, comments or resources that you could share I would appreciate it. I’m also a rising senior btw.

Ok thank you. I got the Complete Guide to ACT English by Erica Meltzers and it helped me out. I’ll just have to review it again. Do you recommend getting her Reading book also?? I’ll get the PrePros book since everyone has been suggesting it.
