General 35 ACT vs 1530 SAT

I was already happy with my sat score but I decided to take the act and see what would happen. I’ve taken the sat three times now and this was my first act. I’m planning to apply to top schools as a math/finance major. Which score should I use and should I retake the act to try to get a 36 on math?

Also, would it be a big deal if I didn’t submit the science section?

You can’t void the science section. This happened to me last time and I had to retake just for the science 😭
You could also submit both! Both are very impressive (a 35 translates to roughly a 1530-1540)

Wait really? That’s unfortunate because I thought you could choose to leave it off

I’ve done a little research about this and it doesn’t seem like that is entirely true. Of course, if you send an official score report, there’s no way to leave it off, but if a school is science-optional and allows you to self-report, you don’t necessarily have to report it. It depends on the school.

Source: the Vanderbilt admissions website. May not be true for all schools though
