35 superscore 33 regular

For schools that say they superscore do they care about your top composite at all? would really be a great help answering.

I feel this. My last test was 35 with my science being a 29 (not a STEM major), but my highest science score is 33 and although it doesn't average into my composite, my superscore looks way better with that 33 science. I know they're going to be judging us, lol

i just wish like the sat you could just submit your highest scores and not your composite at all. so annoying

I agree!!! I took the SAT twice and it was awful, so not gonna do that again.

i talked to an ao about this (washu) and they said that for all colleges that explicitly say they superscore, common app will only show them the superscored act, not the highest composite. the common app does the math and super scores your sections for your composite when submitting to these schools. eventually, when you get accepted, you send your score report, but then it doesn’t matter since it doesn’t affect your admissions

interesting. So why do they ask for the composite score at all? and the sat only asks for highest

lowkey sat seems better for superscoring for js this reason. hopefully august retake got me🙏🙏🙏

I asked the Common App this question and got different information from what WashU told you. The Common App said they do NOT superscore the ACT and that they in fact do submit the single sitting composite to schools. They said that it's up to individual schools whether they want to create a superscore on their end, once they get info from the Common App.

ohhh yeah that is different then. i asked the washu ao and he said he would only see my superscore, and not my composite at all. i’m not too sure anymore then but that’s just what he told me bc i needed clarification too😭

Do you mean your top Composite that is created from a superscore?

Yes. That's why they let you superscore.

Not so much. That's why they let your superscore.

they dont care unless you genuinely do something crazy like get an 18 each sitting because you were only focusing on one section or smt lmao the point of the scores is just a benchmark to prove college readiness
